Waste 'n Water Tech
Larry Sagstuen started Pieces O'Eight with sales of equipment to the oil field in Alberta. Brian Clarke partnered with Larry, expanding sales of equipment for water and wastewater treatment in Alberta and Saskatchewan. They changed the name of the company to B&L Watertech. B&L Watertech became exclusively involved in Water and Wastewater, now representing several manufacturers including Vaughan Chopper Pumps and Eutek Grit Systems.

Saskatoon installs the first major Vaughan Rotamix AND first major Hydro (Eutek) grit removal system in Western Canada. Dave Van Vliet and Brian became sole partners, changed the company name to BD WaterTech focused solely on water, wastewater and biosolids treatment. In 2008, the business expanded to Manitoba and Northern Ontario and started representing Aquionics UV.
Services
SAVECO North America, formerly Enviro-Care Company is the exclusive North American supplier of SPECO, SAVI, and FSM screening products. Combined, they make up a comprehensive list of screening options supported by the expertise at SAVECO to find the right fit for every application. The FSM Filterscreen is a perforated plate screen with over 1500 installations worldwide, and the highest UKWIR tested Screenings Capture Ratio in the industry.
The Hydro MicroScreen is a low-energy, small-footprint rotating belt screen that delivers exceptional solids removal from process water and wastewater. Maintaining efficiency even at peak design flow rates, it enables operators to meet discharge requirements, increase efficiency, and save money.

Building on the success of their AquaDisk platform, Aqua-Aerobic Systems developed the AquaPrime filter as an economical and efficient alternative to conventional Primary Clarification.Taking up only 10% - 15% of the footprint of conventional Primary Clarification, the removal efficiencies of this filter exceed 80% of influent TSS with a corresponding 40% - 60% removal of BOD.
Aqua-Aerobic Systems has been designing biological systems since 1969 and has over 1,000 systems installed worldwide. Their suite of biological processes ranges from the tried-and-true Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology to the breakthrough AquaNereda Aerobic Granular Sludge Technology.

This technology is geared towards small-to-medium applications looking to achieve anywhere from rudimentary BOD/TSS removal, all the way to advanced Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) in a small footprint.Aqua-Aerobic Systems' SBR is designed as a true batch process, never allowing raw influent to enter the system while treated effluent is being decanted.
With over 1,000 installations to date, this technology has been successfully applied in the wastewater industry since 1993 by Aqua-Aerobic Systems. Decades of research testing hundreds of media options identified their pile cloth media as the best cloth media for use in wastewater filtration applications.
John Cockerill has developed technologies since 1993 for the decontamination of air in harmful, corrosive, and odorous environments. Their tailor-made solutions (gas scrubbing, adsorption, biofiltration, thermal oxidation, etc.) relate to all processes emitting gas pollution. These solutions minimize their environmental footprint, by containing their emissions.
