The Cape Breton Highlands National Park is right next door and offers plenty of activities for the entire family.
My husband and I decided to travel to NS for the first time to visit friends and luckily, our friends booked a Rocky Bay cottage for us well in advance. We stayed for 3 nights and it was absolutely wonderful! Tom, the owner, is a terrific man, so personable and easy to do business with. Our perfectly spotless picture window looked directly over Old Smoky Mountain and a harbour full of colourful fishing boats that brought in lobster daily.

A beautiful view of the mountains that have made the Cape Breton Highlands famous throughout the world. Each of the cottages at Rocky Bay have fully equipped kitchens and feature either one or two bedrooms with fresh linens. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and utensils.
Rocky Bay Cottages are situated on the world-famous Cabot Trail and offer beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. This is the fourth time we have stayed at these cottages! They are amazing and the view is breathtaking! Morning tea overlooking the mountains and ocean, it is what I call heaven on earth.
