Massage therapy in BC has been a regulated health care profession since 1946 and is legislated by the government under the BC Health Profession Act. A common misconception is that massage therapists provide only "hands on" therapy. Your RMT is trained in rehabilitative exercise such as hydrotherapy, stretching, strengthening, and postural exercises.
Buena Vista Massage is able to direct bill most extended medical plans including the following: RCMP, MSP, DVA, Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Great-West Life, Chambers of Commerce Grp Ins, Standard Life, Manulife, and Desjardins. Please inform us 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your massage appointment.

Staff needs to communicate better with thier clients . First place i went too where i was new and my 90 minute massage was only and hour because the masseuse talked to me for a while. I thought thats why i came in 20mins before my massage . What a way to rip off your clients .( if thats your protocol let your new patients know.)

I was recovering from a herniated disk in my neck when I first went to see Kirk at Buena Vista Massage. After a thorough consultation, Kirk worked out an hour long treatment concentrating on my neck and… shoulders. I hadn't realised how tight my muscles were until after my third visit when I was doing a shoulder check and I could actually move my neck completely from side to side. I first went to see Shelley years ago with severe shoulder limitations and lack of mobility. She fixed it up in two visits and helped me out of a tough situation. Since then I go monthly and she keeps me moving. My many years of contact sports is now catching up to me and Shelley keeps me moving. I call her "The Princess of Pain" because she does real massages that help and not just nice comfortable stuff. I have been with her for years and will keep going for many more.

I have been a regular customer at Buena Vista Massage for approximately 15 years now. My husband, parents and my self have been treated by many of the RMTs working here. I have personally received treatment through pregnancies, multiple injuries, health challenges and times of great stress.
