McMaster Medical Acupuncture has an acupuncture program in Ancaster, ON, that is available for currently licensed practitioners. Acupuncture is a system of diagnosis and treatment. The diagnosis is based on a comprehensive Chinese theory of energy balance. The treatment involves the insertion of small solid needles into precise anatomical sites in the body to produce therapeutic effects.

Services
Begin your journey towards mastering the art of acupuncture at our university. We offer a full range of acupuncture courses in Ancaster, ON, where you can learn everything you need to know about this ancient technique. From the basics up to the advanced concepts, we go over all the information you require as a licensed practitioner.
The course runs Saturday 8 a.m. to 5: 40 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all three (3) weekends. Please Note: Unless stated otherwise, our acupuncture program courses are held at McMaster University starting on Saturdays at 8 a.m. and adjourning Sundays at 5 p.m. for the Fall Fundamental Program.
This option is available only to Chiropractors where they are required by their Colleges or regulatory bodies to complete at least 200 hours of acupuncture in order to practice acupuncture. Note, full payment is required at the time of registration to get this rate. This program will provide you with 200 hours of acupuncture related activities and instruction, however these are the not the same as direct contact hours.
Upon successful completion of the Fundamental Level or the entire program with the examination, students will receive an official McMaster University Health Sciences Medical Acupuncture Certificate of Attendance. Our entire program fulfils the requirements of the Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO) for the examination.
Health care professionals who have successfully completed the Fundamental Level or Unit 1 and its examination of the McMaster Medical Acupuncture Programme: An Evidence-based Approach. Our certificant members may use the following initials behind their names CCAMA to mean Certificant of the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture if membership is active and all dues are paid.
