Advance Family Chiropractic & Massage Therapy
Chiropractic honours the body's wisdom and promotes health by removing interference to the nervous system. Massage influences healing by restoring normal function to soft tissue, reducing swelling and guiding repair. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy which uses hair-thin needles to stimulate health and recovery.

Unlike medications which may temporarily relieve unpleasant symptoms WITHOUT correcting the problem, a healthy lifestyle is a series of positive choices that combine to create a lasting state of true wellness. This is the fundamental difference between feeling well and being well. Our team of health care practitioners is motivated to help you navigate your personal journey to lasting health.
Services
It is becoming increasingly difficult in our modern age to be and stay well. For-profit drug companies and multinational food conglomerates have been distorting our perception of health and nutrition. Too often we are told that pain and dysfunction are a "normal" part of aging or that we shouldn't expect great gains after an injury or set-back.
A desire to understand how living systems were organized and regulated led Dr. Colautti to earn her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1994. Wanting to use her new-found knowledge in order to positively empower and change the lives of others, she applied and was accepted to the Doctor of Chiropractic program at CMCC in Toronto from which she graduated in 1999.
Chiropractic is a branch of healthcare which concerns itself with the alignment of the bones of the spine. A doctor of chiropractic is a health professional with at least three years of university education and four years of training at an accredited chiropractic school.

Chiropractors use their hands to assess the alignment of the spine and to deliver gentle, specific, "high velocity, low amplitude" adjustments to correct any misalignments they find. The bony spine has many functions; one of the most important is to protect the spinal cord and spinal nerve roots. These delicate structures transmit information from body to brain and from brain to body.
Massage therapy is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissue of the body, including muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments. The most common form of therapy, and the one used in our office, is known as Swedish massage. On the initial visit, the massage therapist will take a thorough history and assess the patient in order to determine the patient's needs and an individualized treatment plan will be prepared.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first massage appointment to complete the necessary paperwork so this time is not taken from your actual treatment time. You will have time to do your chiropractic paperwork in the office. Please remember to include all information regarding medications you are taking, any injuries and past and/or pending surgeries since these can affect the treatment plans.

I would like to thank Dr Colautti. I finally had a back pain free good night sleep. Don't be fooled on how quick she is, she knows what she is doing and works like a magician.

We love Dr. Colautti. She is a wonderfully skilled Chiropractor. She spends the time with you that you need. She doesn't rush you through like an assembly line like other Chiropractors in the area that I have been to. She genuinely cares. She will show us exercises to do at home to help us even more after our treatments. Dr. Colautti has a very calming, relaxed manner about her.
Thank you, Dr. Colautti - you have helped us tremendously.
