Both versions of 3 on3 hockey - small ice and big ice - are enjoyable to play. However, from a developmental standpoint the small ice version of 3 on 3 hockey that Cutting Edge Hockey Development Centre offers is far superior than the big ice version. 3 on 3 small ice hockey is the ultimate form of overspeed training.

It forces players to do everything at a higher rate of speed than they have in the past, from skating to stickhandling, passing, shooting and making decisions, 3 on 3 small ice hockey, as a result of the reduced time and space available to each player, pushes the player out of their comfort zone, thus making them a better player.

The facility is poorly managed, there is zero communication, and events are haphazardly organized. For a facility providing services to children and younger adults, these are recepie for a disaster.

Coaching is ok but the facility needs an upgrade. Change rooms are small. Ice is extremely soft and very dangerous at corners.

Okay hockey facility, a little cramped with the ice that's known to be average at best. They run some pretty good training programs out of here however.

Have my son in their Future Stars program for he second year. Fantastic coaching and a great small ice pad prefect for the kids just learning. A great place to start before the "youth hockey madness" kicks in.

We just had a party at the Cutting Edge Hockey Development centre and it was a great experience. The kids loved the ice rink. The party room is big and can be decorated the way you like. We brought a speaker to have some music which made the party to be even better. The price is pretty reasonable for the off-the-shelf package but you can also negotiate extensions for reasonable addition too. The staff is friendly and flexible. I can't talk about the quality of the ice rink since I don't skate. I would just recommend to better clean the floors in the dressing and the party room. Rather than that

Worst experience so far. I will not be there anymore and will not recommend any of my friends to be there. Basically I booked a coach for 1 on 1, I did not meet that coach before. And they assigned another coach without informing me in advance at all. Nobody explained to me. They took me as a fool. I sent email to them and called them to ask why this happened. They refused to response to me. Had never have such terrible experience in any other organizations.

3.5 stars for renting the rink for a party... probably follow up with their classes in a bit.
GTA is probably filled with a tons of hockey schools to get you or anyone you know a bit of an edge in the beloved Canadian sports of hockey. There are many types of classes you can take that are focused on a smaller class size and a greater personalized training.
The facility is in the middle of an industrial area on the west side of Oakville. There's a private parking lot but it doesnt have a lot of spots so expect to get creative when you have a lot of families here.
It doesn't seem like a big place

Great size for 3 on 3 but the ice quality is terrible. The ice level sinks down an inch near the boards which presents a danger for players. The Zamboni typically leaves a large amount of water after its done.
