During your eye exam the doctor is not only evaluating your eyes for visual correction (if you need eye glasses or contact lenses), they are also checking the overall health and function of your eye. Most eye diseases have very little or slow symptoms and cannot be detected unless you have a comprehensive eye exam.
Dry eye is a condition being diagnosed and managed more often these days. Not only is this condition found in an older population group but also in young age groups due to increased use of technology and decreased blink rate. This leads to an unstable tear film and therefore causing dry eye syndrome from digital eye strain.
Our computer assisted digital imaging system enables us to provide a more thorough record of the health of your eyes. Digital imaging can assist us in early detection of deteriorating ocular conditions including central retinal diseases, central detachments, holes, thinning, optic nerve disease, precancerous lesions, macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathy and diabetic retinopathy.
We carry various eyewear collections from around the world, as well as sunglasses. We have a wide range of eyewear in order to provide our patients with a variety of styles ranging from classic and modern to simple and conservative. We also provide an onsite service where we can have your glasses ready for pickup in an hour thanks to our on site laboratory.
There are many Eye drops available over the counter, however there are some we believe work better than others. Below are the eye drops we recommend and have proven to provide relief of dry eye symptoms. Both of these drops are preservative free artificial tears that are advanced and effective at providing instant and persistent relief for dry eyes.
