Jilly Beans Childcare

Jilly Beans views every child as being full of potential and believes that all children have a natural desire to learn and make meaning of the world around them. We provide lots of time for these learning experiences to happen - children are not rushed through them. Our educators act as partners with the children and their families in the learning experiences.

Jilly Beans large spacious centre was purposely built to encourage curiosity and exploration and consists of three rooms dedicated to children's activities and a separate art room. The classrooms all have large windows that fill the room with natural light and provide the children with a continuous connection to the outdoors.

Being situated on a two acre lot provides us with lots of outdoor play areas. Our playground includes both commercial climbing equipment and natural landscape. Our large pergola extends the length of our Centre and provides lots of shade for outdoor activities. We also spend lots of time in our open field or exploring our wooded area behind the center.

Field trips are scheduled throughout the year to expose the children to their local and surrounding communities. Past trips have included visits to the fire and police stations, public library, Sports Hall of Fame, Country Pumpkin, apple picking, Saint John Zoo, St. Andrews Aquarium. When the opportunity arises we will also bring in speakers/special visitors to share with the children.

Jilly Beans educators are all trained with a diploma in Early Childhood Education or a degree in Bachelor of Education. Having staff that have been present at Jilly Beans since our doors opened in 1999, and other staff being a part of our team for over 8 years, shows true dedication and commitment.
