Our Founder John McDermott came to Canada from his beloved Ireland in 1974. He made Maple Ridge his home with his family. He had various jobs until 1982, when he discovered a passion for the insurance industry. John was truly an entrepreneur, so a few years later he created Simplified Financial and then Simplified Benefit Systems.
Shelley has been in various roles over the past 20 plus years in the financial services industry. As a banker, a high-risk lender/collector, a mortgage lender, an investment advisor, and an insurance agent.just to name some. Denise brings to Simplified Financial Inc. 30 plus years of administrative experience.

I've had the pleasure of dealing with Suzanne and her team both on a professional level (with Group Benefits at work) as well as with my personal matters. I have had nothing short of perfect experiences every time - always quick to answer questions, always eager to help, and always very knowledgeable. Unlike some I've dealt with in the past, I have never once felt like I was being "sold" something that I didn't need. Suzanne and her team are top notch when it comes to investing and managing finances! They handle the benefits at my work and I now have an RRSP and life insurance through them. Always answers the phone and makes the time to patiently explain anything I don't understand. Even drove out of her way to meet me halfway for a meeting! I was looking to make a long term investment and diversify from my regular dealings through work. Simplified Financial provided me with several investment options but more importantly, took the time to get to know me first. A couple of years ago I asked Suzanne for some advise on a long term investment. It was not a great deal of money just slightly over $10,000.00.
She took the time to visit with me and made a number of recommendations which proved more beneficial to myself and family.
We have since transferred a very high percentage of our RRSP funds to Simplified Financial Inc. The whole process was painless, completely stress free and a very pleasant buying experience.
My only regret, I didn't start working with Suzanne twenty years ago.
