The Skylite Motel is a 24 room motel conveniently located near the Community Park Beach in the Centre of Parksville town. Close to shopping, restaurants and all amenities and activities. Most visitors come to Vancouver Island by ferry. There is a 1 1/2-hour trip fromHorseshoe Bay across the Georgia Strait to Departure Bay in Nanaimo.
12 minute drive on Alberni Hwy (Hwy 4)Located in Errington, great hiking, river swimming, picnic areas. 2 spectacular falls, home of Hammerfest Mountain Bike Races. 20 minute drive on the Alberni Hwy (hwy 4) Cathedral Grove in an old growth forest. Trees as old as 800 years, gives an idea of what Vancouver Island looked like before the settlers.
This superbly maintained Les Furger designed course bring out the best in experienced and novice players alike. The course offers stunning mountain and ocean views and three sets of tees to ensure a challenging game for golfers of all levels. The friendly clubhouse features a restaurant and lounge, with terraced decks overlooking the course.

I like the nature of the manager as special I left my wallet in my room and went out but during cleaning of room they find that and send it back to me by during canada post so I love that service as it is having my all the card that I need everytime

Service was great. The fellow that greeted us was very friendly and upgraded us to a room with three beds when he realized we had a couple of kids. The room was dated but clean, other than the ceiling and bathroom fan. Ashtrays were placed outside below the AC unit and when we turned on the AC unit, the room started to smell like ashtray, but once I moved the ashtray away from the AC unit, it was fine. The biggest issue was the beds were NOT comfortable! They were rickety, and two of the sloped towards the head end. My wife and I had to turn around so that the blood didn't flow to our heads all

Completely changed my idea of what a motel is. The Skylite Motel is a clean and friendly place to stay at, with rooms that have up to 3 beds! I'd like to thank the owners for taking such good care of what they have and I hope they can get some extra money to renovate some of the older features.
Would DEFINITELY go back. Better than many Hotels in the province.

Everything was fully booked at Parkville during our visit, and we were lucky to get a room at Skylite motel. Don't let the dated interior fool you! This place is very conveniently located, immaculate (cleaner than some 4-star hotels in BC), and has spacious rooms. The owners of Skylite take such good care of the motel, very friendly, and they provide us with excellent customer service. Sheets, towels and carpet seem as good as new. Our room had a parking spot reserved for it, and there are benches and seats everywhere. Skylite is definitely on our list of places to stay in
