The legal services provided by our clinic are free of charge. Clients are normally asked to pay for the costs associated with their case (for example, doctor's reports and court filing fees). If you need service in a language other than English, please let us know as soon as possible and we will arrange to have an interpreter.
We provide legal services that are accessible and non-discriminatory. Let us know if you need any kind of accommodation to make your visit easier. We will also do our best to accommodate the safety needs of survivors of domestic violence. We are funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We do not provide services relating to family or criminal law.

Services
Willowdale Community Legal Services (WCLS) is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario to provide free legal assistance to low-income residents in our community. Our staff includes three lawyers, three community legal workers (paralegals), an intake worker, a community development worker and an administrative assistant.
Summary Advice - If you contact us with a problem in one of the areas of law we practice, we may discuss your situation with you and advise you about your legal options. If we are unable to provide advice, we will do our best to refer you to other organizations. Brief Services - We may also assist with legal processes such as completing legal documents, reviewing paperwork and contacting agencies with you.
Legal clinics assist people who have low income. To be eligible for brief services or representation, your income and assets cannot exceed a certain amount, depending on the size of your family. When you contact us we will ask you for information about your financial and family situation. If your income is too high our ability to assist you may be limited to providing advice or a referral to somewhere else, depending on the situation.
Legal Clinic champions Petition to make the Canada Child Benefit available to all children living in Canada. The petition was presented in the House of Commons today by MP Dong, who notes that, No child should have to live in poverty. That's why I'm proud to support WCLS and their desire to ensure all children residing in Canada receive equal access to the CCB.

Very helpul and welcoming. Free legal services for eligibles. Easy document notarization and affidavit making. Open during covid too, through appointments given on call. Do check their website as parking is not free but they do provide code for free parking for 2 hours on their website which is mostly sufficient.

In need of a Notary Public urgently, I messaged a friend if she was available for an appointment. Away on leave, she suggested I call the Willowdale Community Legal Services and they would be able to help.
A call to the office got me connected to Liyaan (do excuse me if I've spelt it wrong). She was a very polite and professional receptionist who confirmed all the necessary information required from both ends and managed to work through my difficult schedule with patience to find me the earliest appointment within a day.
The visit next day, I struggled with the parking meter which refused to

Not sure why but these people rejected me. first I called to make an appointment to stamp and legalize a Chinese to English translated document. the person who picked up did not have even the smallest customer service skills. first thing, she ask is where I live? and I am like why is she asking where I live, then she ask how much I make? and I'm like excuse me?... so i gave a random number because it was non of her business how much I made... Then she answered sorry we don't accept you here. I mean, I am paying for the service you are providing me I am not asking for free service so why would you
