I highly recommend this restaurant for an amazing breakfast. Very busy but the waitresses were very attentive. Excellent service and a very polite waitress. The food was very fresh and prepared to our liking. Steak and eggs are a must. The best toast around; light and crispy. Next time in Hamilton I will be back! Better than

First of all waitress was surely. Had big breakfast. Toast average, bacon chewy , pancakes average. What is all the fuss the locals said about this place ? Not worth it. Very average food and waitress was not real friendly.

Great breakfast. Small quaint place. There is no AC though so if it's hot don't expect it to be cool here.

Super friendly staff and high quality foods for everyone to enjoy. Was seated at the bar area and really loved it. Just watch out, berries and chocolate chips are an extra 3$ each in your pancakes, probably better to just bring your own instead of paying an outrageous mark up. Still great though!

I came for a lunch and it was quite busy but still got a seat immediately. The menu was small enough to not be overwhelming but big enough to be varied. I feel my huevos rancheros was good and worth the price but 3 chocolate chip pancakes for about 15? A biscuit for 4? Two slices of bacon for 4? The food is good but the prices are on the high side. It's not exactly fine dining but I guess it's "trendy". Worth enjoying once or twice but at these prices not worth visiting frequently.

Papa Leo's has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were really helpful and friendly, while providing quick service. The ingredients used in the food felt fresh and delicious. Their fruit smoothies were also quite delicious. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a good breakfast or brunch place.

In the backdrop of old Hamilton there lies a small corner cafe. You won't guess that such place offers first rate breakfast. Once inside view changes. A much modern outlook frightens you that meals will be skimpy and fancy. Fear not. As fancy as their meals look they don't lack quantity nor quality. So next time you plan a trip to Niagara region. Take a detour and have breakfast at this joint

Great Breakfast stop over on a trip to Niagara or any where else. 2015,2016, best breakfast by View magazine. The pancakes were superb, the breakfast sausage us to stay away from, the continental breakfast is just great inspite of the sausage. Prices are reasonable too

This place isn't hard to miss unless it isn't busy. It a small restaurant and because of that it fills up quick and you can usually see the small line extend out of the restaurant. The parking is relatively easy access, as they have metered parking on both side of the street.

The restaurant has several tables both high and normal tables. The place is set up to be more communal with the high top tables are long, to be able to fit at least 6 around the table. We ended sitting next to another couple but they also didn't crowd the table because they left the seats between us empty

Ever since I've discovered this restaurant I spend most of my sunday mornings having breakfast/brunch here. The quality of food is incomparable with anything I've had in that region, looks very presentable too. I had the poached egg with avacado and smoked salmon and was blown away by the flavourful taste. Will be here frequently

Our first time here, and it's great! Cozy, a little bit of a wait (no rezzies on weekends) but not bad. Food was excellent quality, service was delightful. We loved our choices, hit the spot. And the server didn't blink an eye at our questions or requests.

Went here Friday morning and didn't have to wait long to get our table despite the small restaurant. We ordered the French toast with blueberry compote and eggs benny with sausage and rye bread. Both were winner so we'd definitely visit again when we're around. The portion size is quite right as well. Not too big not too small. Service was good as well.

Wow. This one is a hidden gem. Great food moderately priced, good service and very clean. My only issue if you are going to use local products why not use Canadian ketchup instead of U.S. Heinz ketchup. Otherwise this place is one the best on Hamilton mountain.

Papa Leo's is definitely a restaurant where quality dominates.

Thankfully the restaurant wasn't full when I walked in at 12:50PM on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend. We got seated quickly as another couple was leaving and got our menus. The place is small but has a very sophisticated and clean vibe.

The menu isn't very extensive but does have all the staples of a brunch ingredients.

We ordered Papa's Eggs with smoked salmon and Sourdough French Toast with Hewitt yogurt and mixed berries.

The food does some take to make as everything is made fresh. The eggs were phenomenal

It's always packed, meaning that they will rush you out of there the second that your fork starts slowing down. I base this off of the five visits I've spent with them. The food is good - and the coffee is lovely - but I will never go there on a weekend because I don't want to feel like a brunch needs to proceed at a gallop.

Brunches are meant to be leisurely, right?

Some stuff that I do love on their menu is their Avocado Benny, their Hash, and their standard breakfast. Portion sizes are, indeed, large, and everything is locally sourced, which speaks well to them.

Papa Leo's was recommend to us for brunch a few years ago, and today we finally decided to check it out. We went in at around 11am on a Saturday and luckily there was no line, however there may have been a good reason for that.

The restaurant is very small and cramped. We were seated at a long table already occupied by a group of people (although there were a few unoccupied tables when we arrived...). The washroom was dark and filthy, and because the restaurant was not air-conditioned the staff left the front door open, allowing the flies and wasps in.

We both went ahead and ordered the

We went to Papa Leo's on Sunday for brunch around 10:30 AM. The overall experience was really good, we enjoyed many things about the experience and hope to come back soon!

Atmosphere: The restaurant is very small and quaint. There are about 3 tables that seat larger parties and a couple others that seat 2-3 people each. They do not take reservations so ensure that you arrive early with your WHOLE party to get a seat. Otherwise, they wont seat you if others are missing from your group.

Service: Our waitress and Leo (who sat us) were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu

Incredible food options. Not your typical food selections. They offer smoked bacon, chorizo sausage, and piri piri sauce. The service is friendly and quick. The price is a little on the expensive side, but so worth it.

Each time I visit Hamilton, Papa Leo's is always a must-go destination! Must thank Yelp for pointing me to this restaurant on my first official visit to Hamilton... and now every time I'm in the area - I gotta attempt to make a stop here!

ATMOSPHERE: Quaint and cozy, this little restaurant crams a lot of tables in their small space. And because they're well known with the locals, expect LONG line-ups (the only downside to this amazing joint). It's in a lovely area atop the hill, so take a chance to stroll around the area.

SERVICE: Terrific! Always greeted warmly here. Great

Large lineup upon arrival so try to call in for brunch reservations. Large portions. Quaint ambiance. Savory food. Absent minded service. Approx $20 per person after tax.

My friends drove as far as North York to Hamilton in search of great eats in Hamilton. Upon arrival this place was hustling and bustling. (Free weekend parking in the back residential roads so don't have to pay for parking out front). We were excited because a packed restaurant is always a good start and a good sign, even though waiting while hungry can be a nuisance. We got seated after half an hour on high stools which

Very good and fresh food, very very friendly waitress.
Potatoes were a bit dry. Great mocha.
Clean and nice bathroom.
My daughter burned her hand using hot water in the bathroom, so I deducted a star.
A warning sign should be posted above the sink about the hot water danger as this is very serious.
