With 3 layers of natural latex, encased in an organic cotton and wool case, the 7 Oxford provides a range of customization, at a comfortable price point for this sought after design. Due to its lower profile (compared with the 9" and 12"), the 7" performs best for those seeking a medium to firm feel.
A hybrid between our Suffolk and Oxford models, the Devon features the support and durability of pocket coil springs, along with the customizable firmness and comfort of natural latex. Hand-tufted and built in an English style, the Devon is double-sided and flippable. Ideal for couples, each partner can choose the ideal firmness level for their side in the King and Queen sizes, while the spring design helps to minimize movement transfer.
The Suffolk mattress uses a classic, century-old design combining a durable, high quality spring with thick layers of cotton and wool in an organic cotton case. This mattress is flippable, which allows the natural fibres to rest and bounce back after being compressed. This is a medium-firm mattress, perfect for those who like a little softness with plenty of support.
Looking for a sophisticated alternative to a box spring? Our Classic Base is upholstered in organic natural cotton, with a clean, minimalist design. With slats for maximum breathability and moisture flow. This versatile base can be made to stand alone with wood legs, or made without legs to be dropped into an existing frame (to raise the height of the mattress).

I first heard of the Black Sheep Mattress Company from many of my patients and recently acquired a bed for myself. The customer service was extremely prompt and helpful with sorting out what bed would work best for our needs.
After sleeping on it for a number of weeks, it became clear that it needed to be firmer. Again, the customer service was excellent in coordinating having someone come out and replace one of the layers of bed to increase the firmness subtly.

We ordered a king Devon mattress. I must warn you it is VERY HEAVY. We had to bring it into our house as the delivery is only to the curb. My husband and I are strong and we struggled to get it up the stairs and into the house. That being said now that it is in and we have been sleeping on it for about a month it is very comfortable. Hopefully it holds up for many years. I almost need to do a review a year or so later but so far so good.

I can't say enough good things about Black Sheep. Customer service was on point, delivery and install was a breeze, and they took my old mattress away on delivery to be recycled. All I had to do was buy it, and everything else was taken care of -- which is my favourite kind of shopping.
It's so hard to decide when you lay down for only a couple minutes, so the sleep guarantee is a game changer. I spent a month on a medium Devon Mattress -- which is comfy with a Capital C -- but being a side-sleeper I decided I needed it firmer. Fast delivery and good packaging. Easy to install and stays in place with the addition of the fitted sheet. My goal is to decrease my sweating during sleep. Although the temperature is cooler in the house, I can see a great improvement. More peaceful sleep and even temperature under the sheets.

In an industry that is difficult to navigate at the best of times, with confusing material names, difficult to compare models between stores and high pressure sales, my wife and I were extremely frustrated with trying to find a mattress that worked for us. Then we decided to get away from the traditional mattress retailers and tried Black Sheep out, and looking back I really wish we had found them sooner. The whole experience was fantastic, from the initial consult right through to the delivery. Our new Devon king sized mattress is the best one we have ever owned by far, with obviously high quality

As a designer, I have been recommending Black Sheep Mattress to my clients for several years now. They have all been extremely happy and were able to select a mattress tailored to their sleeping requirements.
Personally, my husband and I also have a Black Sheep mattress as well as their pillows and are having great sleeps.

I purchased my first mattress from Black Sheep Mattress Company four years ago. It feels just as wonderful as the first night I slept on it and was honestly the best purchase I have ever made. I never wake up sore or stiff anymore. I have since purchased another one for my daughter who has scoliosis and reports that her pain has decreased significantly since. We both have the hybrid Devon mattress which they custom make to your preferred firmness and will adjust if you desire. I recently filled out a survey and won a latex pillow. I can’t wait to try it out tonight along with a set of organic

Oxford natural latex mattress is the best mattress I have ever slept on. It provides both complete comfort & sure support that are unlike any other mattresses that I've slept on so far. Alanna was very kind and gave me insightful recommendations. However I was much adamant about my own convictions at first but after about a month of sleeping on my chosen combination of firmness, I came to agree with Alanna's original advice, haha. It really relieved me when an adjustment layer was delivered & installed at no extra cost and all felt just right.

We needed a new mattress, and after searching online we found the Black Sheep Mattress Company. The reviews were stellar. Organic & hypoallergenic materials, local etc.. loved what we read. We booked an appointment and ordered a mattress the same day. Liza was friendly, informative and made sure we had plenty of time to test out each mattress in the showroom. I am 6'6" and my wife is 5'7", so we needed something that wouldn't end up with a trench down the middle. We bought the Devon mattress in a California King, and after about a week of adjusting to it, it has been a dream. I can fully starfish

I got my Suffolk mattress and base today and it is beautiful, a piece of art..the bedroom smells like wood, which I love and is much better than the off-gassing mattresses usually offer. Can't speak highly enough of the mattress and the craftsmen who made them. I would only advise having enough help to carry the mattress into your place, it's heavy.
