Services
WEEDS was founded in 2013 by longtime Cannabis grower and advocate, Don Briere, a central figure in the evolution of Cannabis retail. Early in his journey with Cannabis Don saw the need for citizens to purchase healthy cannabis in a safe environment. In 2004, he partnered with Carol Gwilt to open Da Kine Smoke & Beverage Shop on Commercial Drive in Vancouver, BC to take normalization of cannabis to the next level.
In 2004 at the age of eighteen, Gibson started melting glass and hasn't stopped since. His interest ignited a passion for the malleable creativity that fire and molten glass can express. On the back of his dad's property stood a camper van and thus situated Gibson's first studio. The small space comprised of a makeshift bench sat over the sink and although it left little space for standing, it functioned as an incubator for his initial creations.

We have been this Kingsway Store several times, but the new lady in the cashier is very unfriendly and impolite. Her vibe towards us was like we are thieves.. We have been there before and two boys were always there they were so nice, helpful and gave a great customer service unlike this new woman.The impression she gave to us to as a loyal customer is not good and disappointed of the store.. she can ask the ID but she cannot command for it..

Wether you need your good old weed or want to get fancy and get shatter vape pens, WEEDS got you covered.
Prices are pretty standard but definitely worth it to buy in bulk, don't forget not to go over 30g limit if you don't have a medical license, which then brings the price way down!
Plenty of variety in equipment, accessories, you can even roll joints there to take home, how awesome is that?!
Super friendly staff with lots of knowledge and patience, which we all know is needed but also just the atmosphere in there is very welcoming and simply feels right and not like

Used the twice and never again. Asked for a 4g bag of Black tuna. Paid and went to the vehicle. Rolled one for home but it smelled not good and not fully dried. Wrong product. Went back in 4 minutes later. The guy admitted he sold us the wrong product. And refused to rectify his mistake. $85 of something I won't smoke. Off to Stepping Stone holistic 2 blocks away. Better pricing, good parking and better strains. 2487 Kingsway. Go there 😀

Asked about shatter as I have no knowledge and was curious to try it. The only information I was given is, "This is the package it comes in and we can't open it." Which isn't what I asked her. Either she's didn't know what it is or have the customer service skills to explain and recommend.
Pretty much the same level of customer service with another associate re the jelly edibles.
Neither one bothered to ask me any leading questions or even really seem to care if I purchased anything at all.
So to anyone that wants to try anything new to them, do your research

Stock, selection and prices are not bad. There's a good variety of cannabis products to choose from. However, while there are definitely a few friendly and knowledgeable employees, there are some that are unwelcoming. As someone in the comments before me mentioned, the staff at this particular Weeds location do indeed have a 'weird attitude'. On multiple occasions, I've felt uncomfortable, sometimes even just upon entering the store, because of the vibe some employees give off. Not sure if the owner cares or not but I would suggest at least monitoring to improve customer service quality more frequently

Super annoying that they hide their top selling edibles during the edible sale from 4:20-7:20PM on Sundays (they changed it from Monday’s without letting customers know until we show up) and claim that they’re sold out 10 minutes before the sale happens.
They need to hire better customer service people who aren’t there just to get high because when I expressed how disappointed I was that I had to come back next week the guy said “fantastic”. Get it together, guys.

Pre-legalization: great staff, awesome stock, from flower to jelly bomb I loves all the products. They are priced accordingly, and have a massive selection. Their edibles were so great not only tasting but effects were always top notch. The dab bar is hilarious and awesome. I haven't been in since legalization day but I hope they haven't changed much

I love this place, it's friendly and has a great vibe, decent prices and great selection. The staff are very knowledgeable and have great attitudes. My one and only complaint is that all the staff are so stoned all the time they can barely help customers. I get it, but it would be nice if they were sober enough to answer my questions instead of staring off into space and stumbling over their words. Other than that it's still my number one dispensary.

As dispensaries go, this one is pretty modest and practical. But the staff are friendly and helpful - zero attitude. It has a neighborhood vibe. They are definitely more focused on access and recreation than medical but I was able to consistently get strains for pain management here.
If you are under 19, don't try to go here. They are very strict as they are near a school and they take that seriously.
