Services
Snap Dance Studios provides high-quality dance training and exceptional customer service. We want dance to change your child's life for the better. We believe our programs develop self confidence, create healthy minds and bodies, and teach valuable life lessons. We offer classes to suit any dancer, from five week sessions to full year classes.
Our top-notch, certified instructors strive to make each child the best dancer they can be. Alia is a fully certified ADAPT jazz and tap teacher and completed her Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) Gold medal jazz and tap exams with Honours status. She has a BA Dance and a BKin General Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and completed her MSc in Dance Science (with distinction) at Laban in London, England.
Every other year we offer committed Snap dancers the opportunity travel. Our dancers have dazzled audiences in Disneyland, at numerous all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, throughout England, and aboard Carnival Cruise Lines. We've also taken classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York, the Edge in Los Angeles, and Pineapple Dance Studios in London, England.
Extra curricular activities can be expensive, even prohibitive to some families. Snap is happy to assist families in obtaining funding, as we believe every child deserves the chance to dance. We are proud to work with our community, the Snap Parents' Association, and our own program to sponsor families each year.
The Parent Code of Ethics has guidelines that all Snap Parents need to follow. We ask that all parents EDUCATE themselves on these guidelines to avoid any issues (email warning, or loss of lobby/event privileges). We have this code in place for the benefit of everyone at Snap and to foster a positive environment.

In the past 6 months that I have been able to experience snap dance studio, I have seen nothing but happy children and happy parents. On the off chance that there is an unhappy child or an unhappy parent, the Studio Manager and Owner step in right away and deal with the situation themselves. That shows me how much they care about every child who walks through their door to dance, learn, and grow.

My 5 year old granddaughter loves Snap! She was able to join in on the virtual dance classes when COVID hit. Snap offered a dance class for children to attend for free which was amazing for the children, to keep them busy when their world was turned upside down. My granddaughter lives in Calgary but we are looking at ways to bring her out to Cochrane for weekly dance classes come fall. I HIGHLY recommend this company! They care about their clients above anything else.

Snap is no longer a small studio and competition definitely takes the front seat. Class sizes tend to be quite large (very distracting to kids with attention issues). We were very disappointed when the studio added extra charges to process payments from KidSport and Jumpstart programs (money was always the bottom line). Management is more interested in defending their decisions then admitting fault or looking for ways to improve. We enjoyed our first two years at Snap, but we decided to move to a smaller studio where our children would be seen as individuals. Lots of fancy advertising, but unfortunately

SNAP Dance Studio has been our home away from home for eight years! I am so pleased with the support my daughter has received over the years from the studio directors, instructors, and parents. I have 2 daughters dancing at snap and I am always so impressed by the range of classes that are offered. My 3 year old and 8 year old love dance and I love that they can try any genre as a trial class before deciding on the best fit. This is my 8 year old’s first year doing a competitive class and she couldn’t be happier. The teachers definitely put students first and I love watching them grow.

The instruction is of the highest quality but what sets them apart from most is their dedication to community in and out of the studio. Our family’s experience at Snap Dance Studios in Cochrane has definitely exceeded all our expectations. From class options, registration and cost, through to staff, communication and Parent’s Association, the whole organization is truly great. Our young daughter has begun to learn the fundamentals of ballet, tap, jazz & acro, develop coordination and she always has so much fun. She looks forward to every class! We can’t wait for her two younger sisters to join Snap so they can all enjoy their dance journey altogether. We highly recommend Snap Dance!

My kids have been attending Snap for the last 3 years and they love it. The classes are very dynamic. There are so many classes to choose from that you'll for sure find something that works. The times are great too. I also love the Snap Staff and Snap Parents Association. I would highly recommend Snap for anyone looking to try dance.
