From emergency tooth extraction to unexpected tooth loss, we offer walk-in emergency dental care in Fort McMurray. We are open Saturdays and late evenings so if you have a dental emergency, dont hesitate to call us. If you experience a sudden, severe toothache, it's most likely to be caused by decay, an abscessed tooth, infection of the gums, fractured tooth, or a damaged filling.
If you're one of the many patients who prefer mercury-free amalgam fillings, you'll be happy to know that the Dentists at Thickwood can accommodate your request. We can improve your oral health and your smile by repairing or replacing your natural teeth with amalgam-free materials. Amalgam-free options are available for many dental procedures, including fillings and crowns.
In the past, tooth problems like cavities or other trauma only had one viable treatment option: metal or amalgam fillings. Thankfully, advances in the science of dentistry have led to the development of resin compounds that, when bonded to your tooth, provide a durable filling with a much more natural appearance.
If you are missing teeth and having trouble speaking or chewing, or are noticing strain when biting, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help make your mouth healthy and beautiful again. Bridges literally "bridge" gaps between teeth by filling them with strong, natural-looking artificial teeth. Dr. Rita Patel and the staff are awesome. Appointments are easy to get in short time and the facility is very clean. Dr. Patel knows her job well and always give an honest advice. She is the only dentist in town who follows dental prices guideline for your insurance coverage. Highly recommended if you are looking for best in service and price.

This has been my dental office for years, my experience with them has never been anything but exceptional!! Appointments are made in urgency if required, which is so accommodating. Dr. Patel and the staff are super friendly and amazing with explaining and answering any and all questions. Dr. Patel is great with my kids, always so caring and helpful. Excellent service and communication from the time of booking my appointments with the receptionists to the dental hygienist and dentist completing the work.
All staff are professional and courteous.
Appointments are on time.
Cleanliness is at a very high standard.
This dentist office also completes a dental claim pre-estimate with my insurance provider prior to conducting procedures which explains the amount paid by the plan and my out of pocket expenses.

The appointments are very easy to get in shorter time frame, especially when you are in pain. The clinic is really nice and staff is super friendly. I have all dental checkups, filling and a root canal with Dr. Patel. She is highly knowledgeable in her field, empathetic and a problem solver. Highly recommended!

The best dental office in the town Dr. Rita Patel is very kind and knowledgeable. I have been to 3 dentist with a bad experience before coming here & that is the best decision. Dr Patel is so loving with kids.
