Our website may be new, but our company sure isn't! John Sotirakos and his Teachers began providing one on one lessons to students in their homes over 30 years ago, and he built Mansion on the Hill from these humble beginnings. From there, he grew the business to open the doors to the first location in Brookside, which began accepting students in 1996.
Mansion on the hill now has 2 locations, one in Brookside, the other in Tantallon. There are now several very talented, Music College Graduates professional teachers employed through Mansion on the Hill, and a great selection of music lessons to choose from. I am a strong believer that everyone should be able to have a life of music.

Kyrk Specializes as a rock & blues guitarist and songwriter originally from Dartmouth, NS. Kyrk is best known for his energetic three piece rock and roll group, with which he has released his debut album and music video. During his 2 year study at NSCC he obtained his diploma in Music Arts and studied with some of the greats thus broadening his understanding of music theory, genres of music, and music business.
Students are given customized lesson plans to help achieve their goals. We encourage our students to perform as much as possible and our studios will provide regular opportunities for students to show what they have learned in a relaxed setting.
Lessons are offered for ages from around 5 to Seniors, from beginner to advanced, so if you've ever considered learning to play an instrument, here's your opportunity to do so, right here in your own community.The advanced class is for students who have been playing consistently for over 5 years. Instructors provide guidance where needed, but students can direct the class where they need it.

At Mansion on the Hill, we strive to keep our cost low to allow more students the opportunity to learn the joy of music. In order to do this, we need to minimize our administrative costs. This does not mean once you sign up, you are locked. There is never any obligation.
