This is a typical installation of pressure treated "fortress" fence. Pre-treated lumber acts differently than the normal "kiln-dried" lumber you may be familiar with because it comes from the mill soaking wet. The two most important considerations when installing a treated lumber fence are the top cap and middle rails.

Dillon, Jesse and the crew did a beautiful job on our backyard cedar fence. They were professional, precise and easy to work with. They always confirmed specific details with us as they worked which was great. This made us fully aware of every detail as it happened. Highly recommended - will likely use them for a deck next year.

We are thrilled with our new fence. The people working on the project were friendly, punctual, and hard working. Everyone wore a Calgary fence shirt so it was easy to tell who was supposed to be present. Jesse and his team are awesome. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for fence work.

I requested a quote from Calgary Fence and Deck for fence and deck work, reviewed and approved it. I was told I would be contacted shortly to arrange next steps. I never heard from them despite numerous calls that I made to the company. I now have to start over with a new company and the work is delayed.
I don't know how this company stays in business, but perhaps it shouldn't.

I had a fence install completed around August for the most part it went ok, was done quickly which was a plus, down side was they installed my front gate as a RV style gate 6x10 wooden front gate, needless to say this wasn’t practical and not what was wanted, it was agreed that there was a miss communication between ourselves and the installers. In the end the gate was reworked, this took sometime and a number of phone calls to be completed, even though the I believe he was Project Manager called at the end of the job after seeing pictures, agreed to the rework and even agreed this wasn't what

We are very pleased with our experience with Calgary Fence & Deck. They responded very promptly to our request to do a quote. Donna was very good at explaining what they could do and couldn't do within the scope of their work. We did the landscaping work we needed done ourselves. We asked for a few changes to the original work quoted and the job was done in the time frame promised and came in on quote. We have an infill with a small backyard which we had completely filled by patio and we replaced the old fence on one side of the lot. All the work was done within a few days, except the railing.

This review is based on customer service and a quote only, we were/are looking for someone to do a fence for our backyard and we contact them randomly based on some other positive reviews we found online. They were able to schedule an appointment to come out for a free quote relatively quickly and they showed up during the time frame they said they would which is greatly appreciated. They were quick to do the quote and printed off all the information we needed to book the job.
