Services
Muscle Matters opened in 2006 with the goal of creating a better kind of massage therapy clinic. We wanted our clients to receive the best experience possible, and we still do! We are always reflecting on the client experience, and we have added many features to the clinic to make every treatment exceptional.
These types of massage therapy treatments best describe the benefits, goals, and approaches most commonly used in the clinic. Work out the stiffness and pain in your muscles with these invigorating techniques. In cases of muscle injury and tension, adhesions and lesions in the injured tissue, tendons and ligaments can hinder blood circulation and may result in pain, inflammation, and limited mobility.
Deep tissue massage therapy concentrates on tissues, muscles, and fascia, and has been used successfully for the treatment of chronic pain and conditions such as stiff upper back, neck, and shoulders, lower back pain, and taut hamstring muscles. Similar to Swedish massage, deep tissue massage is used effectively for the treatment of chronic muscle tension.
In addition to emotional trauma, car accidents can leave you with nagging aches and pains and general discomfort. One way to help recover from a motor vehicle accident (MVA) is to receive massage treatments. Massage can be beneficial for individuals in so-called 'minor' car accidents, as well as more severe car accidents.
Tailored to affect particular muscle groups in the body, sports massage therapies are widely advocated by athletes for the treatment of pain or lack of flexibility. In fact, sports massage therapy is becoming a popular option among non-athletes as well due to its effects on the neuro-musculoskeletal system.

10/10 would recommend James at Muscle Matters! I followed him from a previous clinic and much prefer this location. It is clean, the atmosphere is so nice, the parking is abundant and it’s easy to get to off Henday. James is highly skilled, knowledgeable and professional. He is an amazing communicator and always keeps me 100% comfortable through the whole massage, explaining his technique, what he is going to do and making recommendations to improve my day to day life. I would recommend him to anyone looking a massage therapist. Bonus, his sweet guide dog Molly is in the room during appointments

So I don't usually write reviews.. but I need to for this place and James. First this place is very clean and nice atmosphere!! Second James and his massages are top notch. I've been seeing James for several years he is the only person that can release and relieve my fibromyalgia pains!! I've never ever had anyone else able to do this for me ever!! If you have fibromyalgia or chronic pains this is the person to see. You will not be disappointed and most likely surprised at your results! Plus his guide dog molly is super friendly and adds to your relaxation and anxiety issues. Plus my wife suffers

I really enjoyed my massage with Kenisha, and I really appreciated her saying she's fine with talking or not talking! I'm someone who would prefer not to talk during a massage, and her saying that made me feel a lot more comfortable with it. I asked for relaxation and I found that she used the perfect amount of pressure. I'm looking forward to my next massage with her! The receptionist is great too

I found it difficult to relax while receiving my massage here as the therapist was very aggressive in her choice of discussion topic and letting her views be known in our first meeting. I felt accused of being in the wrong when asked my opinion on masks and vaccination policy as a teacher, and I shared my personal view which follows the majority of the public’s view as well.
I will jot be returning now recommending the therapist to anyone as she did not set the atmosphere for a relaxing massage nor accept me and my views that she requested. It was extremely unprofessional from a stranger to

It was my first time to go to massage clinic as I used to have it done at home. I was so glad that I went to Muscle Matters! The place was so clean, peaceful and the music and scent were so calming! Thank you to Kenisha, my massage therapist her technique is so relaxing. You won't regret going there! They even gave me a pack of epsom salt so I can soak in the tub for complete relaxation ❤

From walking in to walking out, this is by far the best massage/experience you will have. I've been coming here now monthly for the last few months and I am so grateful for Muscle Matters. Joanna and the rest of the staff are incredible and my once painful neck and back is feeling better than ever before! 10 stars out of 5!

I regularly get massages here from Jessica. Muscle Matters direct bills and have evening and weekend appointments, which is always appreciated. Jessica was great at not only helping my sports-related sore muscles, but I've also come in for a car crash related back injury and back pain from a hunched over desk job.
One star deducted for the noise. The lobby is quite close to treatment rooms and so you can hear every conversation and footsteps, which can negate some of the peaceful ambiance of a massage.

This fall, I decided I had enough of the pain and tension in my shoulders and neck and sought out a place where I could get a massage. Muscle Matters was recommended to me by a couple of friends who are also runners, and I decided to book a massage as soon as they could get me in on an evening. I would like to qualify my review by saying that I have never received a professional massage at any other business, but that I am very happy with Muscle Matters, and my therapist (Tina).
Muscle Matters focusses solely on massage therapy. There is no spa, or fancy treatments like hot rock massages

My friend and I decided to go for a massage since we were celebrating her birthday. I found this place by searching google since we don't have a favorite place. It is a small business located on the 2nd floor of the stripmall in Hawkstone plaza. The parking lot is large and they are open late to accommodate those who work during the day.
I booked our appointments one week in advance and was told they needed at least 6 business hours in case we needed to cancel or change the appointment. When we arrived, the placed smelled like mint, strong enough to clear your sinuses. Since I am a little

Beware, this company has a cancellation policy that has no flexibility. I booked an appt on sat for Monday at 8:30 am. My 7 year old had the flu and was up all night sick. I left a message on the machine at muscle matters for when they open. They told me I would be charged the cancellation fee an I let her know I did not feel it was fair as I had booked last minute. I did not see any charges but when I went back they told me I had to pay. I let her know again I did not feel this was right, she would not look at me anymore, I had told her I wanted to book for my mother and was going to prepay

I'm a girl who needs the deep tissue massage rather frequently due to back problems... I am happy to say I love this place! I've been going here for a few years - and its just great! Friendly staff.. and nice and quiet.. I've only ever had one issue.. however it was small and addressed quickly by a manager. Their staff are very knowledgeable and are happy to get those muscles where they're suppose to be!
