Sun Harvest Greenhouses
Farming has always been our shared passion, so when we decided to 'go all in' and 'make something happen', we settled on growing a tomato that tastes like 'summer', yet available from April to November. Thus our farm vision was realized with the construction of our hydroponic greenhouse and farm store located just north of Hwy 401 in Kingston, Ontario, back in 2002.

We learned quickly that we needed to give our visitors more reasons to 'stop' and so we added more greenhouse space to grow top quality annuals and perennials for the home gardener. Today, Sun Harvest has become the home of Kingston's favourite tomatoes and the leading garden centre destination in the region.
Services
Do you love the look of full and lush seasonal plant containers? Do you struggle to find successful plant combinations for these pots? Does your busy life make it difficult to keep these pots filled for four seasons of colour? Then let the team at Sun Harvest Greenhouses, Glenburnie, make it easy for you with our Urn Club!
Over the years we have come to rely on our favourite performers in containers and the garden such as Dragon wing begonias and Calliope geraniums, but who can resist the chance to trial 'something new'. We are always seeking out the latest trends in annual plant choices by visiting variety trials across the province, so that colour does not have to be laborious but instead, rewarding!
At Sun Harvest, container gardening is officially our favourite type of gardening. It is so easy, versatile and allows us to be creative for each season. Our hanging gardens, patio pots and window boxes are ready and waiting for you to take home in the spring and enjoy the whole season.

Let our container combinations be your source of inspiration as you decorate outdoors, and plan to visit Sun Harvest for the plants and tips you need to keep your pots looking fresh and full all year long!Do you have a unique container planting idea, but have a hard time finding the plants you want in May /June?
Today's gardener looks for perennials that are easy to grow and maintain, have great colour for an extended period of time, and can contribute to the diversity of our ecology. In other words, plants that can do double duty, be as beautiful as they are functional. We are passionate about creating a diverse landscape so that our pollinators have healthy landscapes for foraging.
Flowering shrubs are used more and more in the landscape by gardeners who want a reliable, and beautiful presentation with minimal fuss. The new flowering shrubs are not only bred to be more compact, which means less or no pruning, but also have awesome flower power. Let us help you select hardy types that will transform those drab spots in your garden to vibrant focal points.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We went to pick up a Christmas tree and the gentleman helping us gladly showed us multiple trees by standing them up and letting the branches fall open. When we made our choice he tied it up on the roof of our SUV securely and without damage.

Love this place. You can pay to cut flowers from a field to take home and make your own bouquets. The nursery has a wide selection of house plants and outdoor plants.

Visited this green house after visiting all the other ones in the Kingston area. Lesson learned - I should have started here.
This greenhouse has the best selection of flowers and vegetables. The flowers are well maintained by experts. While I may spend a little bit more money on my plants, they have been nurtured, and will survive. When I buy at the box stores, I know the plants have not had the attention to detail paid to them that the plants at Sun Harvest have. While I may send a few bucks more - its worth it because my plants will survive and look great from Spring to Fall.
Definitely worth

Very nice landed out green house / shopping area. Good selection of spring flowers, urns, and hanging baskets (for early April). Staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful.
Not "bargain" priced (go to Costco for price) but I thought it was worth the few extra$$ to support local and its a nice drive

This place is absolutely amazing!! Took the kids for a visit to buy some of the jiffy pots for seedlings and left with some beautiful jade plants and succulents plus pots to go with them all! Everyone there was extremely knowledgable about their products and taught me a few things. Very reasonable pricing. Most definitely my new favourite place to be! :)

Visited for the first time and loved the experience! I was helped by a staff (didn’t get the name, but she had pixie cut short blonde hair). She was very knowledgeable. After I have told her what my balcony was like she made some great suggestions (even paired a plants together for my window box). She was patient too, and she gave suggestions on how to take care of the plants. This is why you visit a local nursery, where staffs are passionate about what they do!

Great selection of farm fresh summer produce (sweet corn was delicious 😋) and probably my favourite selection of houseplants in the Kingston area! Great prices and in better condition than a lot of downtown stores 👍

Sun Harvest is always a stop on our way to the cottage. Their beautiful and tasty tomatoes, cucumbers and corn keep us coming back. The owners and employees are wonderful too.

Their fruits and veggies are grown hydroponically and are pesticide-free, which is a huge plus!
