Services
Mantra Wellness Centre has been a trusted source of effective therapeutic massage and body work for 10 years. Owner-operated, we strive to promote balance and well being in your body and life through many different and robust modalities. At Mantra we believe that therapeutic touch, when professionally applied in one of its many established forms, has the power to restore and activate the healing potential present within each individual.
Traditional Chinese Medicine primarily focuses on balance, harmony, and energy. Deep tissue massage or sports massage uses deeper pressure and cross-fiber friction in order to release tissue that is adhered or in spasm, which is therapeutic for the individual receiving the treatment.
Tibetan Medicine is one of humanity's great ancient natural medicinal traditions with a comprehensive, holistic perspective that addresses the body, energy system, and mind. These safe, yet profound, modalities are unique and a rare treat to experience. Anyone who has suffered an injury or who experiences a limited range of motion can benefit from manual osteopathy.

Qi is known as "life energy" or "vital energy" which is a belief that courses throughout the entire body. This constant flow of energy is always on the move and constantly changes every day. Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments help rejuvenate and maintain the flow of your Qi. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, yin and yang are what balances your energy.
Deep tissue is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic pain patterns of tension build-up in the body. Through slow strokes and deep finger or elbow pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.
Herbal oils are selected, then heated, to be worked into the skin, penetrating the deep in the tissues. The therapy progresses to deeper work on the muscles, energy points, and meridians restoring the body's energy, balance, and health. Herbal Ball Massage is an ancient method of providing relaxation, stress relief, energy, and improved health.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They cancelled my appointment without notifying me prior to doing that? Just because Sunelle is not available without giving me any reason, they will cancel just like that? They should have blocked the schedule in the app in the first place if she was not available, so I should have not booked on that date. VERY UNPRPFESSIONAL to cancel a client's appointment.

I was looking for a new massage therapist and a colleague at work recommended that I see Trish at Mantra Wellness. I found her very easy to speak. I was very pleased that she took time at the beginning to listen to what my issues were. She was very professional and skilled in what she does. The clinic was cozy clean with a very nice receptionist. I have definitely found a therapist that I will be returning to.

I have been going to Mantra for many years now and have had massages from Genny, Trish and Amanda. These ladies are all excellent RMT's and the clinic is well located downtown, pleasant, comfortable, clean, functional, competent and well maintained. I like that I can book an appointment online quick and easy. I usually go for a massage once per month and have been going to Genny for the last 1.5 years. I would recommend Mantra for all your wellness needs. Cheers, Kent

Had my massage yesterday. I was very much looking forward to it and unfortunately came out disappointed for a number of reasons:
-facility outdated (ripped red stools)
-cheap decor and not well kept which did not make me “relax” in the waiting area but rather gave me anxiety. Clutter everywhere.
-the massage room was VERY cold. Was not asked if I was comfortable.
-the massage oil used did not have any scent to it and did not feel like quality on my body. It felt watered down. Sometimes lemongrass scents go a LONG way and add to a pleasurable experience (suggestion).

I will never go back there. My first impressions were not good at all. I came in and the first thing she said was, you have to pay the taxes and the tips before you go in for a massage. Then the massage was for 60 mins and hot stones and when I got there she said the hot stone is not included in your groupon. Then they wouldn't give me a receipt because the therapist I saw wasn't licensed so I couldn't claim my insurance. Just a bad environment. The therapist was good though. She went above and beyond to accommodate!

Did not have a great experience. Pros- The location is nice enough and convenient, especially if you work downtown. Prices are reasonable and it's easy to book online. Cons- Overall, an underwhelming and awkward experience. It may have been luck of the draw but the massage therapist I had was just not great. He seemed rushed at the beginning, didn't seem interested in my problem areas, nor did he review the paperwork I filled out that outlined my problem areas. It was an hour massage and it felt like he just squeezed my muscles through a sheet for half of it. There was little care or attention

Have been going there for almost a year now to see Amanda, but have dealt with other staff as well. All staff are very professional and the one time I could not see Amanda the therapist I saw was very good. I see them because they know more than I do and as such I tell them areas that are causing issues and let them decide the game plan to remedy them. Have had nothing but great experience at Mantra. Highly recommend.

The person that service me at the reception called to apologize and make sure that will not happen again. She explained that she was sick and planned to process my claim today as she was not the receptionist.
I had a massage yesterday and the massage itself was good but the service at the help desk was not good at all. I called a week before to book my appointment and I asked specifically if they did direct billing to Blue Cross as I found their number at the Blue Cross website for direct billing. The person who booked my appointment confirmed that they did direct billing and that all I needed

I have been to Mantra Wellness since they opened. Every massage therapist I have seen there have all been wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about this company or the owner or employees. They have always gone over and above my expectations as a business. Always polite, courteous, and prompt in returning phone calls.
