Preventative dental care is of the utmost importance when it comes to the health of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Preventative care is the foundation on which your oral health stands and we at Burnside Dental Centre are here to support you. Demonstration of proper brushing and flossing techniques, regular dental cleanings and check-ups, and monitoring of any issues are all part and parcel of our preventative care services.
If a tooth is impacted or infected or has suffered the effects of advanced periodontal disease or extensive decay, it may need to be extracted. This is especially common if you have a compromised immune system and the risk of infection could mean greater health risks. Often times neglect of proper hygiene routine can play a factor as well in an extraction situation.

I've been going to see Heather, Meaghan and the gang at Burnside for years, except while out West (when I really missed being able to see them). These folks are great. Personable, professional, and all around just plain great people. I couldn't recommend them any higher. They are living proof that going to the dentist's office CAN be a pleasure.

I'll disclose first off that I HATE the dentist. I mean few people enjoy it, but I had not gone for over 20 years due to a very traumatic experience in my youth. Enough backstory.
I first went to visit these folks out of necessity (ended up in a root canal). Terrified and white-knuckled I went in and let them prod around my mouth and they quickly referred me to a specialist.
Yesterday I went for a cleaning. WOW. Painless... and might I even say... pleasant. I even booked to return in 6 months.
