Got this Black Forest Cake and it’s delicious. The cherry on top got a perfect amount of sweetness, the cake is moist, combined with the cherry filling and whipped cream make it perfect. The butter cream finish is think and evil, but they taste good!

My friend got me a bunch of goodies from this bakery and everything was so good/fresh I will be making this a regular spot to pickup from in Aurora.
She ordered pecan butter tart, raspberry and cream cheese bar, coconut bar (amazing!) and Bundt coffee cake that was to die for.

Hurst Bakery came to the rescue. I had two local cake makers cancel my order only three days before my mom's 80th birthday celebration. Being in East Gwillimbury, I tried to stay close to my area. I should have just gone with Hurst as I have in the past. They surpassed my expectations even though they aren't doing custom cakes right now. We had a lemon raspberry cake to die for! Thank you Hurst once again for your great baking!!!

Every Sunday, my family and I buy bread and pastries here. All their baked goods are fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable. Even though the bakery is small, there is a very good selection. Excellent customer service.

Great bakery with fresh goods. Loved their selection of gluten-free sweets as well. Parking is easy to get in and out of. Plus, they have Greave's jams there for sale, super great find.

For Christmas we decided to order all of our bread, pies, cookies and cakes - rather than baking. The bread was great. The pies were amazing. The cookies were delicious. The cake was the only thing which no one liked (no flavor, stale and icing was applied much too thick).

This is a great local bakery, and deservedly popular. The food quality is excellent and the prices are quite reasonable.
While the store is fairly small, selection is good, and the staff is very helpful.

Talk about consistency! This bakery is a staple for anyone who likes something baked. Their entire menu is so fresh and so delicious, I'm in here once a week easily to pick up bread and cookies and pastries. I'm drooling right now typing this up and wanting another cinnamon bun.

Ordered several pies for my daughter’S wedding. I received so many compliments. The key lime and lemon meringue were my faves. Don’t go in the bakery hungry; you’ll want to buy everything!

I cannot express in words how amazing the baked goodies are at Hurst. If your in New market or Aurora take the opportunity to visit this quaint little bakery. The service along with the products they offer is a perfect combination just like cookies and cream. From their tea cakes, special occasional cakes to breads and all baked good are fresh and will not disappoint. Take the time and next time you sit to sip a cup of tea, coffee or a drink of your choice let the baked good from this bakery accompany it, you will not be disappointed.

Lemon coconut square was good with a good balance of both flavours. Interesting texture: Digestive base, cakey middle, sticky top & topped with coconut flakes

Ordered a carrot cake for my mom's birthday. The decoration is perfect!! The cake isn't too sweet, which I like. The frosting is a bit too heavy for my liking, but it goes REALLY WELL with coffee!!! I'm beyond happy that I found this bakery, will definitely come back for more baked goods!!

Recently moved to Aurora, and went with my mom to get a cake to celebrate our new house. Came across this bakery which is not too far from us, and was underwhelmed with selection and kind of upset about prices. The bakery smelled amazing and was so adorable. We bought the 8" lemon raspberry white cake (for $38) and I was very sceptical about the fact the cake was covered in buttercream, which tends to be very sweet. To my surprise the cake was the perfect amount of sweetness, flavour, and moistness. I thoroughly enjoyed this cake and would go back... if I have a good budget :)

I went into Hurst Bakery on the recommendation of a friend. This is truly "kid in a candy store (but it's a bakery)" for adults. The first them I went in, I bought a little bit of everything. So far, my favourites include the coconut macaroons, chocolate dipped hazelnut cookies and any kind of gingerbread cookie - those are too cute to eat! I tried what they call "monkey bread" and it was good but different from what I'm used to. I also tried their garlic bread: not as much garlic flavour as I would have liked. Their chocolate eclairs are truly amazing!

After searching for a local bakery in the area I came upon Hurst Bakery. The custom cake I ordered was ready on time, delicious and beautifully decorated. I would definitely recommend this place.

I ventured into this cute little bakery on a Sunday morning and it was quite busy. There is a large variety of fresh breads, cookies, tarts, tea biscuits and squares.

I picked up some tea biscuits (blueberry) ($1.60ea), Nanaimo bars ($1.75), lemon coconut square ($1.75), date square ($1.75), cherry cheesecake square ($1.75), butter tart ($1.25), pecan tart ($1.25) and corn loaf ($1.60?).

They pack the bakery items neatly in a sturdy box and tie it with a string for easy transportation.

My favourite of all these items was probably the lemon coconut square, but a few other items were a close

Best buns in town! Seriously, they are unlike any other type of hamburger buns you can buy. I can often be found enjoying one for a midnight snack...just on it's own. Don't judge until you've tried them!

The Monkey Bread is a must try, it's chocolate chip banana bread. The gingerbread is legendary and the home decor and party accents they sell are adorable, pinterest worthy and original.

Really good local bakery. So far, nothing i've tried has disappointed (though i've only ever mainly ordered on the savoury side).

What i can attest to is the breads are great - the foccia and garlic cheese twists are an easy and great addition to any meal.

The one sweet item i have ordered from here is the flan, and it was light and airy and fresh.

Overall, i'm impressed at the 'clean' baking style this bakery has.
