Shirodhara is a commonly used Indian treatment that assists in nourishing the scalp and restoring energy. We use aromatherapy and warm oils that are massaged into the scalp using various techniques as we apply light pressure to karma points to help increase parasympathetic response and reduce the body's response to stress.
This treatment is specific to womb health. In many traditions manual manipulation of the womb is practiced on women to maintain good reproductive health. This wisdom is carried out in cultures accross South America, Central America and Asia. Here we work with acupressure points to re-align the energetic meridians of the uterus, kidneys and liver.
Research shows that just as we have a micro biome in our gut, we also have one on our skin. This micro biome is a culture of good bacteria that helps to support the skin and 'eat up' all of the harmful agents. Using abrasive detergents to cleanse the skin strips away the bad stuff and the good stuff - leaving us in an endless loop of reoccurring break outs and skin conditions.
This detoxifying treatment illuminates your soul! Designed to promote healthy circulation of lymph fluid and can address possible edema by flushing the lymphatic system. Ayurvedic herbs are thoughtfully assembled to create a body paste from heaven, ingredients are all natural and effectively aid in promoting a healing experience.
Registered Massage Therapists professionally trained in various modalities and disciplines to help you achieve optimal health, your way. Clean, nurturing treatments inspired by Mama Earth. Integrative work of massage therapy the Western way blended with alternative philosophies inspired by the East.

I had my first ever thai massage today and it was hands down one of the best massage experiences I have ever had. I am in love with this treatment. Aless was excellent and I felt stretches in places I never felt before which was pure bliss. I can definitely feel a difference right away in my posture and my muscles are super relaxed. I had my clothes on, which was a first for me for massages and I did not at all miss the oil on my skin that i am used to. I actually preferred this a thousand times more. My favorite part was when she stretched my side while opening my chest and also when she climbed

The massage was good and the massage therapist was very nice.
I wasn't going to comment but I got a weird attitude from the front desk lady when she saw I tipped less than the norm. I don't understand why they ask for tip in the first place since medical professionals are not making minimum wage. I don't tip my dentist or psychotherapist. I am European and I am trying to make sense of this whole tip culture here in Ontario. What I don't like is the attitude and sense of entitlement for tip at a medical establishment.

I've been twice in the last month to see Isabella...and let me just say, she may as well be a miracle worker. In the last year, I've been dealing with chronic stomach pain. After my 1st session with Isabella, somehow the pain went away and has not returned. I don't even know how or why, but I attribute it to whatever therapy is in her hands!
I would highly recommend this place and Isabella specifically - everyone I've met who works there is equally lovely and kind. This place is all around great vibes.

Taylor just gave me the BEST massage of my life, and as an active athlete who regularly sees RMTs and whose body needs a lot of care, that's no small feat. Not only is he technically proficient, but he has the most incredible energy. I felt so insanely relaxed through the whole thing, and when it was over, almost felt like I'd been put in some kind of trance. I was almost afraid to bike home I was so zenned out. When I did get home my partner was laughing at me all night because I was so dopey. And the next day my body felt amazing, even after hours of hard climbing before the massage. Do yourself

Ive only been twice and I booked both times with Isabella. I went months apart and she remembered where I had been injured, what we did and asked if I wanted to focus anywhere else. I swear to you this lady cleared my sinuses and fixed my childhood trauma just by putting her hands on my back and shoulders.
She also doesn't try to force a conversation while the massage is happening which I prefer. Such a pain to try and converse with my face in a mask and in the donut, I finally get to just listen to the music and relax.

Absolutely my favourite place to get a massage in the city. I’ve booked with multiple RMT’s and enjoyed my treatment, but I have to say, Isabelle is AMAZING. I think I started purring like a cat at one point. She has the most calming energy and is always consistent with her service.
The front desk staff are all friendly. They always run on time, and I have a truly relaxing experience at every visit.
Well done ladies!

I've been having issues with pain in my left leg lately so went for a 90 minute massage at Laya. I've been there many times before and have good massages there. Monday afternoon I had a 90 minute massage with Laura ... excellent! Plus we had a nice chat. I was very relaxed when I left :)
They are very safe re COVID. My temperature was taken before I was allowed in the building and I had to santize as soon as I was in. Before I was allowed in the massage room, I had to wash my hands for 20 seconds. Apparently there is a 30 minute clean-up between clients.

Love! A hidden gem in the city :) I'm a spa addict and I'd say Laya is the best value for your money downtown.
Pros: Hippy chic decor, spiritual experienced therapists, very reasonable prices and easy online booking option.
Cons: Not huge, so not really a day spa where you could lounge and use hydro facilities for a couple hours (I don't like water, so this doesn't bother me).
Also, they have a wide variety of alternative medicine options and "spiritual" inspired treatments, I'd recommend trying acupuncture, cupping or the healing energy massage.

Don't spend your money at Laya Spa. Save yourself the regret and loss. If I could give a rating of zero I would.
Our experience during the couple's treatment:
We were asked if we had our bathing suits for the steam and I replied that who I had spoken to on the phone during booking said they weren't needed since it was a private steam. Front desk rolled her eyes and said we shouldn't have been told that. Then we were placed in an unbearable steam and had to exit just minutes into our set steam time of 30 min. bc it was too hot and too steamy and I'm not new to steams

Very eclectic and cozy spa experience. This place is clean and a lot bigger than I had expected.
I had Jocelyne who was attentive and accommodating for my said needs. She does have a very weak hand and I took out two stars from that... I was looking for a firm massage to get into my sore muscles but I didn't feel that was met.

I booked a 45 mins sweedish massage. I was there 10 minutes prior to my appointment, however after filing out the form I had to wait there for another 15 minutes while the RMT was setting up the room. I asked the girl at the reception, is he going to give me 45 minutes because he is already late by 10 minutes. I was surprised about the fact that the room was not ready although my appointment was confirmed. I was given 35 minutes massage although I was charged for 45 minutes.
I had a horrible experience altogether.

Found this place on the fly during our drive up to Toronto in July because I wanted to surprise my hardworking, supportive hubby with a massage. Laura was so helpful and sweet in setting up a couples massage for me at the last minute, and constant communication with her was great. She was even more kind and beautiful in person!
Our RMTs were Lynn J. and Jocelyn B. I don't recall which I had, but both my hubby and I agree that they were both great at locating and really working out the muscle knots and tension. The pressure was perfect. My hubby fell asleep during the massage, which is always

TERRIBLE customer service!! I booked a shellac mani and pedi and buffered 1.5 hour for both, in a rush to get to a wedding. upon booking my appointment, I also noted to the lady that I needed to do removal for both.
UNORGANISED
I arrived at 9:05am for my appointment, and at 9:30am still NOTHING had begun. the reason being that the ladies did not know where the foil was placed for shellac removal, so they had to go and buy some at a nearby shoppers.
LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM
when I told the lady at front desk that I needed to leave by 10:30am and she told me I definitely did not have enough time

My mother and I came here for a day of relaxation and used the wonderful spa/treatment services Laya has to offer. After a bit of confusion at the beginning, the treatments itself were just what we needed. If you're looking for truly unique and invigorating treatments, this is the right place.
However, what sticks with a client when recommending to a friend/family is that little extra, which here was lacking. My mother customized her treatment package from head-to-toe (literally) and was happy to pay the price tag that came with it. Five Laya Spa packages serve a light lunch, but because

Looking for a relaxing experience? Laya Spa & Yoga is the place to go. They offer a variety of treatments - I went in for a deep tissue massage (ouch!). I really enjoyed my experience, mainly because of the customer service and the environment. Everyone I interacted with was very accommodating and kind. The staff here go above and beyond to make the experience special for all their clients.
My massage went quite well, however, it was not as relaxing as I had hoped - whether that's my fault or not, I don't know. My body was quite sore going into the massage due to stress on my legs

I came here for a mani/pedi. It is a small but inviting space with little hits of Nepalese/Indian decorations. The receptionist is just lovely. They bring you to a small waiting area to until they are ready to take you and offer you tea (which comes with a truffle! yummy). While I couldn't see it, I think there is one of those machines that makes calming water sounds...well it sounded like whatever it was, was broken. It wasn't calming to me.
The room in which they do the mani/pedis is small - about 3 places for a pedi and 2 places for a mani. The pedi sinks are really
