Eye exams are covered under OHIP once every 12 months for seniors age 65 and over and children 19 and under.
For those age 20-64, you may be covered by your private insurance or covered by OHIP if you have certain medical eye conditions. Services
There are many reasons for a red eye ranging from infections, inflammations, allergies, and environmental causes. We can properly diagnose and manage each of these conditions. We offer a wide range of contact lenses including disposables, color lenses, multifocals, gas permeables, and more. Our office is equipped with specialized instruments such as visual field and digital retinal scan to provide a thorough ocular health examination.
Dr. Alvina Lo received her education at the University of Waterloo, graduating with degrees in Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry in 1999. As part of her clinical training, she completed an internship in Atlanta, Georgia where she was trained under eye surgeons in the treatment and management of retinal diseases and glaucoma.

So it had been a few years since my last eye exam and lo and behold, my old optometrist had packed up shop. I came across Dr. Lo's office and I'm certainly glad I did. It was a top notch and a professional experience from start to finish.
However; before I get to the actual service, I must state how convenient the office location is. If you're a driver, this location is excellent. (If you're not, it's right off a bus route!). Ample free parking (great if you hate stressing about parking!) and her office is right on the main floor. Upon entering her office, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming
