As a credit union that respects the rights and histories of all people, Equity supports a day where we acknowledge the tragic history and lasting effects of the Canadian Residential Schools on indigenous survivors and their communities. Equity encourages our members and staff to take time in their own personal way to reflect on the ways we can all take action to commemorate the first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
We encourage our members to practice safety by using the various electronic banking options such as ATM machines, and online banking which are available 24/7 days a week. Please call ahead if you would like to arrange for an appointment with one of our staff at 905-426-1389.

I retired 2 years ago. My entire life, I've been a client at the usual big banks in the U.S. and Canada. My accountant recommended that I use a Credit Union instead. The first one I encountered was a well-known name and recommended by some friends. My interview with them was more than a little disappointing. So, I had seen the sign at Equity for a few years and felt that it might be a good choice for me. My interview with Equity was so amazing, I felt that I had made some new friends, and they have been just that! I have never received such amazing service. Paula was especially kind to me during

Do Not Use this bank! My husband and I secured a home equity loan through Equity Credit Union. They told us one amount but we had access to a higher amount of money apparently. We did not notice and neither did the bank for TWO YEARS! Then we receive a letter stating we owe them thousands of dollars because of THEIR mistake! We spoke with them and they were not helpful. We now have to pay money we were not expecting to pay at this time due to their mistake! Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this bank to anyone!

This credit union is not like what credit unions were like in the past. Even though they have only one location I don't find them to be very helpful or knowledgeable and disingenuous. They have so many fees and no customer service. They nickel and dime you in everyway but give no breaks when you need them. In my opinion, they operate just like a regular bank; they do a disservice to the credit union brand. However, Tom and Nancy are relatively nice but the rest of the staff needs a refresher course in customer service and product knowledge. To their credit they are very talkative and can be viewed
