The Sooke River Campground (The Flats) is a family-oriented, private campground owned by the Sooke Community Association. We are a scenic 45 minute drive from downtown Victoria via Highway 14. Turn right just after the bridge at Phillips Road. You will pass the Sooke Region Museum and Visitor Centre and the SEAPARC Leisure Complex on your left and we are located at the bottom of the hill.

We're nestled along the beautiful shores of De Mamiel Creek and the Sooke River, and conveniently located minutes away from downtown Sooke. We offer a comfortable, well-maintained and quiet setting with beautiful scenery and our guests enjoy a variety of camping choices from shady powered RV campsites, tent campsites, or 3 rustic cabins.
Services
We are owned & operated by the Sooke Community Association (SCA). As a non-profit organization, the proceeds from your camping fees support the Sooke Community Hall, the Art Morris Park, and much more. Note: One RV or tent per campsite. Any additional units pay an additional full rate per day and must be approved by the office.
RATES: The rates for each site are per sleeping unit for one family (2 adults + children) or up to 4 adults; additional people have an extra charge. NOTE: One RV or tent per campsite, any additional units pay an additional full rate per day and must be approved by the office.

Only one vehicle will be permitted in your site, any extra ones, as well as boats, will have to be approved by the office and parked at all times at the visitor's parking area.Boats/utility trailers' fee is $5.00 / night. VISITORS: Registered campers are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
Maximum 4 adults OR 2 adults + up to 4 children. All 3 cabins have a two-burner cook plate, toaster, electric kettle, a bar fridge and small electric heater inside. A fire pit, picnic table and potable water outside. There is no running water or washrooms inside the cabins. The cabins are approx. You will have to supply your own camping mattresses or foamy, bedding, dishes, cooking utensils, etc.
The SEAPARC Leisure Complex is located walking distance from the campground. Here you'll find a skating rink, swimming pool, skate park, baseball diamond, Sooke Bike Park, and the DeMamiel Creek Par 3 Golf Course. Further up along the Sooke River, you'll find Sooke Potholes Regional Park. This is a must-see while in Sooke.
