Many sore throats are viral and do not require an antibiotic. A physician may take a throat swab to help them determine if your sore throat is caused by a bacteria (streptococcus) that might require an antibiotic or a virus that would not need an antibiotic. Generally, throat swabs are sent to the hospital and it takes a few days to get the result.

I arrived about 10 minutes after a shift started for the walk-in clinic, and I was seen in a very short period of time. The clinic was not busy when I went. The receptionist was quick and friendly, I felt very welcome. The doctor was very friendly and nice, and I did not feel rushed. I was able to have my visit and obtain my perscription for my issue at the pharmacy right beside the clinic all within one hour.

Not sure why there's a lot of negative feedbacks here. I went here as a walk-in patient while my doctor was on vacation. The reception ladies are friendly and work efficiently. Doctor Zita is patient, friendly and very professional. Thanks for all of your hard works. I have a great experience today.

As the other complaints say, very rushed doctor. He didn't even sit down to see me. My health issue wasn't even examined, he gave me a paper for blood tests and then said to come see him after. When I called the clinic after my blood tests (3 weeks) they didn't even know where they were, they said they were not there abd would look and call me back, which no one ever did. Everytime I have visited this office the doctor has the same culture, even before covid. Unfortunately, there are only few clinics and I have been waiting for a doctor for over 6 years so this is one of my only options. Someone

Front desk staff was great. I'm not complaining about the 2 .5 hrs waiting to see the Dr. but it was a waste of my time. The Dr asked me 1 question, felt my abdomen and told me he wasn't doing a pelvic exam that I have endometriosis and need to learn to live with the pain. This was after I explained I've been experiencing pain like I never have before and it's been a week. He told me to go see my family dr.

Reception is ok although they didn't inform us waiting outside we needed to go in and get a number. My consultation was totally useless, after I explained loud and clear what I have been trying to do to solve my problem the doctor prescribed me exactly the same stuff I've been trying for 2 years now: over the counter medication. Literally exactly the same medication on a different brand. The doctor is an old guy that can barely talk properly, he just mumbles, I was all the time asking Huh? What? Can you repeat that please?
I'm sure he didn't understand much of what I said either, he just understood

Big Shout Out to all the staff at the Walk In Clinic today!! If it wasn't for their availability and for their open policy for walk ins from other clinics that are closed due to Covid I wouldn't have been seen so quickly today!! The alternative would have been hours and hours of waiting at an emergency room!! So a Big Thank You to all of you who are willing to work with the public during this time!! You are very much appreciated!!

Not a great place to go amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. I was denied care after waiting over an hour and a half in the waiting room to be checked in. I claimed I was there to get antibiotics as I am 99% sure I have strep throat. I was told "this doctor will not see you unless you have had a negative COVID test in the last 72 hours."
I claimed I was double vaccinated, but that still was not enough. Thus, this doesn't make any sense because if I had a negative test, it takes less than 72 hours to be exposed so I could have been exposed after my test was negative.
I feel like this place needs to check

I hope there is an option of no star at all, I came here Sunday suffering from an infection, the doctor prescribed me an aggressive method of taking the prescription given, after 3 days, things got worst and infection spread all over and even affected some private parts. I had to go to a different walk-in today, thank god the other doctor gave me a more reasonable approach on taking the same medication + a cream to help my discomfort of itch and pain. I will never go back here again, at first I thought it was good that its quick to come in, wait and done for an hour, but with an awful RESULT. I

Went here to get my ear looked at. Waisted almost 2 hours and finally went in to see the doctor. He looked in both my ears and mumbled something and said I had an ear infection and to “get ready for surgery” and shooed me out the door. The appointment in his office was not even 30 seconds. Very very rude Indian doctor. Will never come back here again. Waste of my time.

Healthcare in NS is broken and many physicians rotate in and out of walk-ins so there's no point in 'reviewing' the long waits, the knowledge or empathy of the staff, or even the outcome of the visit. This clinic was clean, had a reasonable amount of seating, and is conveniently located inside a grocery store and next to a pharmacy (literally three steps away). They have signs now to take a number before you register however it would make more sense to have this near the front so there's no fight through the door. It would also be helpful to have signs outside the door that indicate there are shifts
