My first time visit to this shop was today (Christmas Eve) with a photo for a friend but no idea what I wanted for a frame. Tamar (while doing 5 other things) took the lead on what would be best and put together something beautiful for me

Received wonderful and helpful service during my first visit not too long ago. I came in needing a custom frame as part of a gift and they came through just in time for when I needed it as I set the artwork in myself. It was a fast and straightforward process as I had an idea of what I needed, but their suggestions were welcome and taken. It turned out better than expected.
They are very busy and were still able to help me out. I can see why! I’ll be going in again soon and will use them for my future commissions.
So grateful to have them in my community.

Keeping this review short and sweet, but I came here to say I had a 5-star-worthy experience during the pandemic, when I brought in a framing job. I've returned twice since and will be returning again in future thanks to the excellent results and customer service. (Shout out to Cody in particular!)

Edit: The owner has responded to my original review with false information and an attack on my personal character. To clarify, there was never any phone communication (only by e-mail or in-person), there was never any offer to change the type of frame, there was never any offer of a refund until I requested today, and I have only ever had pleasant exchanges with the staff and sales manager (who kindly provided the refund today).
I'm honestly stunned at the level of defensiveness and dishonesty in the owner's response, but it also reinforces some of the issues I outlined in my original review.

We’ve had two prints framed here and both turned out meticulously. Tamar was very knowledgeable and provided skilled and thoughtful guidance on which frames to select for both. The turnaround was quick and each piece handled with the utmost care. We highly recommend this local shop — support local businesses!

Amazing framing and customer service at this shop. Tamar was more than patient with my very indecisive nature on choosing frames. She provided great advice for what would look best for my art, even recommending thinner versions of frames and omitting matting to better compliment the art (even though both of those reduce the cost to me). And the end results for all three of my pieces so far have been absolutely stunning. Great attention to detail. I will continue to go to SoHo for all of my framing needs! Highly recommend.

Something that has been on my to do list for years is to frame and put up my @jamesjeanart print. Today, I finally have it up on the wall. The fairy tale of Chang'e means so much to me and makes me miss my grandmother. Thank you to Tamar and the staff @sohoframing for helping me out. They do amazing work. I also learned that a fellow James Jean fan framed my piece and was very happy to see it.

Amazing customer service. They frame and install paintings so it's really convenient if you've just moved. David was extremely kind, helpful, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and art, and aren't just doing it for the money. Highly recommend them.

The price here was very reasonable and the staff was friendly.

However, they took about 4 weeks to do the job and did not call me when my picture was framed. I thought they would.

On the invoice it says they are not responsible for things left at the store over 30 days....

If you get something framed here make a note in your calendar to call then when it is supposed be ready.

I work in an office nearby this shop and was looking to get a few posters mounted to a wooden board. We were hoping to go some close and support a local shop, so I called in to inquire if they might be able to help with this.

I had Soho install a gallery hanging system in my place (referred to as a "click rail system") and couldn't be happier. I dealt with Tamar via email and David did the installation. Great customer service and David took the time to do a really good and very precise job.
I love the flexibility the hanging system allows- I can move art around however I want and no nails in the walls. Looks great.

Great service. A bit on the pricey side.

The woman helping us was very knowledgeable and very helpful. It was 30 minutes before closing and she didn't seem annoyed or reluctant to help us decide on some options to frame our huge picture which was really refreshing and respectful. You don't see that very often.

She had many ideas for our picture and asked us where we'd be putting it and what the room was like which really helped us decide as my boyfriend and I have never gotten anything framed before. She offered to give us a 20% discount but I told her about the Yelp Check-In discount

Excellent framing shop in my old neighbourhood. Great place to bring your family photos, professional photographs, favourite prints, fine art and even your child's art. Also, they offer a nice variety of gift ideas, including beautiful prints and posters, some already framed.

Close by my place so thought I would try it. Much success. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable pricing and various discounting throughout the year. I requested a quick turn around on a framed gift and they accommodated without any additional cost. I've used them again with similar great results. Many thanks.

I purchased some boomerangs on a trip to Australia last year and wanted to display them somehow. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted or how to arrange it so I decided to take them to SoHo. I work at St. Joseph's so it's just right up the street.
The guy working there was really helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me multiple suggestions and ideas, i.e.: how to mount the boomerangs, colour suggestions for the backing and frame so as to make the boomerangs stand out, etc.
The whole project took them about a week and a half to do and I was given a call to let me know. Overall, I was

Saw them at the Design Show this year and bought a Toronto print.
I framed it myself and not too hot on the matting I chose, so I think I will go to their shop and have them frame it professionally, because when I bought the print I got a couple for 30% off....so hopefully I will get a good deal.

I bought a print from Soho at IDS12. The print on the booth wall looked amazing! When I brought it home and unwrapped it, I was so disappointed to see that that the print had an obvious typo on it. Quality Assurance Fail! So I called the store that day and was assured that I could bring it in for a refund - no issue. Boy, was that a HUGE mistake...

When I went into the store, there was one girl was on the phone and one was helping people. When it was my turn, the one helping people grabbed the print from my hands, took it in the back and told me that she didn't know how to process refunds

I am very disappointed in Soho art. I have bene here before and was pleased with the job they did. I did find them very expensive compared to other places but admit the convenient location is what brought me back. However this time, I found the whole experience to be terrible. Firstly , I felt pressure to pick a matting, like the woman was too busy to help me but didnt want me looking through the mats myself. I would have been happy to take my time and chose for myself without her help. I thought maybe there was a rule against me touching the mats myself so I let her do her thing. In the

The first time I went in here the owner was working and he was so nice- chatty, kind, your typical small business owner appreciative of his customers. Nice enough in fact that I returned to have some items framed. The catch- I had a Groupon coupon to use there that said "$50 for one framed item at Soho Arts." Apparently the owner did not understand what they signed up for and tried to tell me it was $50 off an item (what the hell is the savings? I paid $50 for the coupon). The owners had not informed the employees that they signed up for Groupon, and then yelled at me and my boyfriend

I noticed SoHo because the outside of their storefront was dotted in balloons in celebration of their 6th anniversary. Most things are on sale for the month of June, fyi!

Unlike "Prints Charming" up the street, staff at SoHo greeted me warmly the instant that I walked in. I had them re-frame something for me, got a couple of custom mats (mattes?) done for two other prints, and a frame for one more piece.

Jess spent at least 30 minutes or more with me suggesting really great colours for my mats -- she definitely has an artistic eye!!
