Waited over six months to charge my card for an assessment visit, $130.
Otherwise. Nice guys, called the right people for me, made my day simpler. Docking a star for the late processing, and docking a star because they insisted on doing an unnecessary “furnace cleaning” on a problem that they announced beforehand was a blown fuse.

Just when I thought customer service was a thing of the past, I had the good fortune of shopping here for my dream stove. I've dreamed about owning an Elmira stove for years and years. I went to the showroom in Elmira and a lovely lady went over everything with us. I went directly from there to Hearth and Leisure in Shelburne before I changed my mind. A few deep breaths later and Debbie from Hearth and Leisure took my order for the stove and microwave. The delivery withthe transport company was delayed and they got right on that for me and kept on it till they got answers and got my stove delivered

These people are absolutely unprofessional and extremely disorganised!
I have been waiting for over 2 months for the installation of my fireplace. Once I finally got an appointment, I had to wait again 3 weeks. The day of the installation they came walked around for 2 hours "inspecting" and pretty much told me that they "could not do the job" due to roof being wet! First of all, we had someone come in and tell us that we could install one, and now there is an issue?! If they were experts, they should have foreseen possible problems and known how to solve them when they occur, after all that is

After searching around for a wood-burning insert for our cottage fireplace for a number of years, we visited the Thompson's at Hearth and Leisure a few times to learn about the various features and options they offered. They provided clear and unhurried information to us, and ensured we had all our questions answered. Also, it was important to us to have a Canadian manufacturer available to us, which was no problem at H&L. We selected an Enviro stove, (from BC) with cast-iron front face and large air-fan, which after two seasons, has proven to have been a great choice - as it cut our winter heating
