We understand the uniqueness of each piece of clothing, and understand which process is best suited for any item. We are constantly working to remain environmentally friendly, and with cutting edge technology are striving to provide only the best care for your clothes.
Dry Cleaning is a process where garments are cleaned without water. They are fully submersed in a chemical called perchloroethylene or "perc". Perc is a powerful solvent and can remove many stains. Your garments go into our top of the line machines dry, are cleaned using perc and gentle detergents, and are then dried in the same machine.
Are you tired of spending so much on Dry Cleaning? We want to offer you the least expensive Dry Cleaning in town. Would you believe we're willing to clean items for as low as 75 each. I took my Pronovias wedding gown to be dry-cleaned after my wedding because the bottom of my dress was dirty from the day. When I brought it home from Don Schelew's, there was blood stain on the top of the dress in a very noticeable location which was certainly not there before. I took it back and they weren't able to remove the stain. Dress is totally ruined now.

I recently used Don Schelew Dry Cleaners and I was VERY impressed!
The person I chatted with through Facebook messenger was quick to respond, and VERY helpful!
I reached out to see if they were still operating out of the Barrington Street Superstore. They are not, but, offered to pick up and drop off items either at my home or work, the next day! I thought that this service was incredible!
I was shocked with the reasonable pricing as well.
When they noticed a spot on one of my items, they did some work to it but, they didn't want to do more incase they damaged it. They were very upfront with

Just to see the photo I uploaded, I don not want to complain about it anymore. I just let people to know what they did to my coat. totally damaged by them, and have nothing for compensation!!!! Sooooooooo mad!!!! I do not even give them 1star if there is 0.

When I dropped off my daughter’s wedding gown for cleaning I was told not to leave the garment bag as these are often misplaced and the dress would come back boxed. Today I picked up the dress and yes it’s boxed and there is a charge of over $100 for this!!!! WHAT!!!! There was an option not to box but this was never conveyed, when she said it… would be boxed I assumed that was included in the cleaning fee. When I asked if we could save the fee and remove it from the box she said no it was already done so I’d be paying anyway. Sackville location.

With everything going on, laundry is one of the things that has been getting lost in the shuffle. We were in a place where the backlog was so significant, I couldn't see a way out of it without using my entire holiday washing, drying, and folding laundry. Thankfully, Don Schelew Drycleaners does household laundry for less than the average… laundromat charges you to do it yourself. They pick it up and then wash, fold and dry in about 48 hours, then return it. They came here Monday and picked up an absolutely massive load of laundry and then dropped it back about an hour ago - all no contact

I visited Don Schelew today with a blanket that required cleaning. The owner/manager was incredibly discourteous and dismissive. In fact, he was so rude that I walked out, without leaving my dry-cleaning, with the promise never to return. I drove my blanket to the Martinizing cleaner on the Bedford highway and received courteous, polite and professional service. Buyer Beware. Don Schelew doesn't want your business.

We are new to Halifax area and went to this dry cleaner for the first time. So very expensive! Charged $48 for one regular men’s suit and a pair of dress pants. Highway robbery! Have now found a much better and more affordable dry cleaners. Deluxe Dry Cleaners. They will get all our business from now on!

I forgot to leave my laundry in my office for our regular scheduled pick up time. Called and spoke with Shawn (Sean?). Extremely friendly and helpful service. I was expecting to have to leave the office and drop off my items, but instead Shawn offered to make another trip immediately and collect my items from me. This is a place that knows customer service well!

Don't even bother going in this shop if you want a pair of jeans taken up or if you don't want to be insulted by the idiot owner.. The cranky old scotsman of 70 years, that he reminded me twice of thought the work was just too difficult and would take so long he didn't want to do it. I was absolutely blown away by this! What is so difficult to cut a small amount of material off the hem, turn the fabric over twice, pin it then stitch it with a machine??? And could I pick them up in 72 hrs. Nope coulldn't do that either I asked if he knew of anyone else in the area of which he said NO and directed
