I booked a flight on Turkish Airline thru Gala Travel. I need to cancel the flight. The agent at TA told me I would get a full refund since TA made a scheduling change. Gala Travel wants me to pay a cancellation fee. If Turkish Airline is not charging, why is the travel agency charging? After this experience with Gala and numerous back and forth, the issue is still not resolved. I would never use this travel agency again. I know I am entitled a full refund per the airline. Disappointed with Gala.

My family and I have always used Gala travels for most if not all of our trips. It's easy to navigate through their website and their customer service is excellent. One particular agent Tanweer ul Haq is amazing. He goes the extra mile to ensure a smooth booking. I have been in contact over the past few months with Fatema at their office. What a charming person. Always helpful, with a positive attitude and a smile that could be seen trough the phone. Fatema worked with my family for our trip to Mauritius July 2016 and treated us like family as well. She planned the travels with the utmost ease. With the… strike of Air France, and my brother in air, Fatema in a matter of less than half an hour managed alternate routes and made everything seem so easy and Swift with follow ups. Gala Travels has been nothing but a horrible headache!! The company takes larger deposits than have been verified with guests, they don't update you with information or schedule changes. They have horrible customer service and refuse to take responsibility for any problems that they cause. Terrible, Terrible agency, will never book anything with them again, would never recommend them to anyone either!

I've used Gala Travels a couple of times as has other members of my family and each time they come through with great rates, but all of those have been long distance flights to Europe and Sri Lanka, when it comes to North American travel they don't have the best rates out there and a lost star as a result.
They are very useful if you call them, they send very detailed emails and do follow ups if you have something on hold in a timely fashion. On one of my trips I had to postpone my fight thanks to visa delays (no longer an issue with my Canadian passport!) and my travel agent with Gala
