Di Cenzo Construction
Every project gets us excited. We fuss over floor plans, ask our suppliers to upgrade their "standard" offerings, delight our buyers with unique design touches and carefully supervise every step of construction-because your home is our dream, too. DiCenzo's founder, Tony DiCenzo, built his first home for his family in 1952.

He then applied his tireless work ethic and craftsman's skill to building a mix of high-rise rental and single-family homes for others, turning his company into one of the largest landowners and developers in southern Ontario. More than 50 years later, the second generation is still building homes that proudly carry the DiCenzo name.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience with this company. If you're a first time buyer, DO NOT BUY. If you do, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING THE DAY YOU GET KEYS. You will be taken advantage of as you are learning the process and will offered little to no help. Taking hundreds of photos of damages on day one has saved me thousands of dollars in potential repairs. Be on site for repairs no matter what, take photos and follow up via email to keep a paper trail every step of the way. You will regret it if you don't.
Quick list off the top of my head of things that were terrible.

In the process of construction of new build home that closes later this year. Correspondence is absolute nightmare. It takes 3-4 weeks for a response - and then still do not address your questions/concerns. In 2 months the Decor Manager changed 3 times. Interior finishes appointment was extremely disappointing. 2 hours to select finishes for a whole house and you are not allowed to go see samples by yourself ahead of time, unlike every other builder. Was also looking for guidance from a trained eye with the finishes but instead was just rushed and pushed to choose upgrades. After reading the other

I would not recommend anyone buy a home from DiCenzo Homes.
Here’s the story behind my recommendation:
My wife and I had planned our perfect wedding. We were to be married on December 14th, 2019. The only thing was missing was a home for us to move in to. We looked at homes in the Stoney Creek area in our price range, but a lot of them needed a bit… of work, or were too far from the QEW. We found a great price on a SNAP home in the Foothills of Winona subdivision. We looked at the model homes and found a model that fit our needs. We agreed on a closing date of December 19th.

Positive: Quality
I'm in the real estate industry as a realtor with Sutton. I occasionally will show a dicenzo home when a buyer is interested in a new build, i would say their Quality is excellent, definitely top tier, particularly compared to some mass builders. would recommend

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness, Value
As a framing carpenter that has worked for Dicenzo I warn people not to buy from them. Their quality is terrible and all their employees are incompetent.

I’ve occupied my home for 1 and a 1/2 years and my grout is lifting in the majority of my home. Was told there’s nothing Dicenzo homes will do to correct the issue. My bulkhead in my kitchen was installed wrong… and I’ve had 3 visits in the year and a half to fix it and still is not fixed properly. My en-suite bathroom is ice cold in the winter as it partially sits above my porch, I was told to close my bathroom door and put an air redorector on the vent. First, I’m not putting an air redirect in to correct a building issue and second I couldn’t even if I wanted

Very unhappy with my townhome that I recently purchased from DiCenzo. Craftmanship was very poor, what they say and what you get are 2 very different things.
Don't recommend purchasing a home off DiCenzo.

Dicenzo home is a small builder, which only owns the land and then wanted to make more money but without a stable team. Staffs changeover is huge. Just image you need to deal with a rude lawyer for any problem you find in pre-delivery inspection: many things missing like AC, central vacuum equipment , lamps, etc...
Stay away any new homes built by this builder, or you will face endless stress...delay.... substandard quality in repairs, or even legal cases, unless you are a lawyer yourself and have sufficient time to deal with Dicenzo.
Most important: they subcontract everything to small companies

This was our first purchase from DiCenzo homes. The quality and craftsmanship has been excellent - and any items to be remediate after closing are promptly addressed.
Tricia the sales manager looked after us from the point of sale to closing and was very understanding and cooperative in the whole process.
Kerri the decor design coordinator was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the decor selection and upgrade process. We are very happy with the selections she helped to pick.
Aga the Client Care Manager really goes out of her way to make sure homeowners’ needs and requests are responded
