Our windows and doors are built using authentic time tested mortice and tenon joinery.
Window sash replacement is a great way to upgrade your vintage windows without changing the appearance of your heritage home. Plastic (Vinyl or Polyvinyl chloride - PVC) windows are not for every home. We have the "green" alternative! Often times when people try to have their windows replaced, all they can find are vinyl windows.
The shopping for windows was complicated by my interest in high energy efficiency, and The iCandy's interest in protecting (or even improving) the look of the house with the windows. In the end, the only way we were going to solve this was by getting wood windows. That was when we met Jordan, the owner of Sashmasters.

After getting new Sashmasters windows and doors I am convinced that new high quality custom milled windows should be top priority in every renovation project. Not only does it change your house outside, but the interior is absolutely stunning. After getting rid of my cheap plastic windows, my house is not recognizable. I am loving the double hung feature in a double paned window. It gives the old house feel without the old house hassle. The best part about working with Sashmasters was their extensive attention to detail while not shying away from difficult requests . They let me design the solution

I am the owner of a 1928 apartment building in South Granville (Vancouver). The windows are original so I was looking for long overdue replacement. After painstaking due diligence I settled on Sashmasters. Jordan (the owner) has worked with us over the past 5 years as we didn't do all the windows at once. I wanted to see how they would hold up over time..., monitor the customer service (as tenants can be hard on a building), and of course the cost was a consideration. I would happily recommend the work done by Sashmasters. We recently had all our original windows and front door replaced on our heritage home. The new double glaze windows are a perfect match, and the door and stain glass window look lovely. From consultation to installation there was not one hiccup.
