Saginaw Dental Office
My name is Dr. Meetu Mahendra. I graduated from University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry with Honors in 2005. Then I practiced in a small town dental practice in Port Perry for four years. In 2009 my husband (yes, that's the other Dr. Mahendra!) and I started practicing at Saginaw Dental Centre.

Since childhood, I wanted to be a healthcare practitioner because of their ability to improve another person's quality of life. In my practice it is my goal to provide a relaxed patient-centric environment where the patient is educated about all treatment options and is encouraged to make an informed decision.
Services
If you're unhappy with your smile, cosmetic dentistry has the power to fix it. These procedures can completely change the look and function of your entire smile, or subtly fix a minor flaw - it's all up to you. At Saginaw Dental Centre, our dentists are proud to offer cosmetic dentistry services. Ask them today about bleaching stains from your teeth, or using veneers to correct a tooth's colour, close a space, or repair a cracked tooth.
Saginaw Dental Centre dentists makes impressions of your teeth and then a mold of the way your teeth will look once the veneers are placed. The mold is sent to a dental lab where the veneers are created. Once they are returned to your dentist's office (typically in five to ten business days), Saginaw Dental Centre uses a special cement to apply the veneer to your tooth or teeth.
Regular hygiene visits help keep your teeth and gums healthy, daily brushing and flossing is critical to maintaining healthy teeth and gums, but it doesn't take care of everything! It's very important to come into Saginaw Dental Centre for regular hygiene visits. These appointments provide your teeth and gums with a thorough cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance.
When you're missing a tooth - or multiple teeth - it can negatively affect your appearance, your self-esteem and your general health. It can keep you from smiling in photographs, from feeling comfortable in social situations, and from eating your favourite foods. When you're missing a tooth, the surrounding teeth will shift position in an attempt to fill the gap, and your jawbone can break down.
If the sounds, smells, and dental environment makes you nervous or anxious, you may have dental anxiety. This is a very common feeling with some patients so we've made sure to offer nitrous oxide as a sedation option. What is Nitrous Oxide? Nitrous oxide or "laughing gas" allows patients to forget about their environment and ongoing procedures so they can relax and stay calm.
