We had a wonderful Christmas at this five star resort.
The food at every meal was amazing.
Our room was a luxurious King Suite with views of the bay and Saint Andrews.
We have traveled extensively and without a doubt the staff we encountered here were the most attentive and professional of all.
We will be returning.

An absolute gem with European charm and not a detail spared. The staff here are welcoming and more than accommodating, making it feel like a home away from home, with a resort feel. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere in a beautiful seaside village. A special place to visit at any season.

Went to the Algonquin for breakfast with some friends. The location was lovely (a big enclosed verandah) and the service was great. The food was OK. It's hard to make breakfast special so I wasn't disappointed. The price was reasonable so overall, a 4* experience.

Likely my favourite hotel in Atlantic Canada. Staff are top notch. Resort is CLEAN and has a fantastic atmosphere. Bar/restaurant is really good, but you do pay for it. We always look forward to the Algonquin.

Beautiful and historic. Great location within walking distance of the village and many historic sites/museums. Tow visitor's cebtre one block away. Resort has all of the amenities. Lacking sufficient housekeeping staff at the moment but otherwise very good. Take the Ghost tour; it's well done!

Very elegant hotel in excellent location and stunning grounds. Food was good and service attentive and prompt. The beds comfortable but only major issue was absurdly small bathroom that forces one to "dance" with the door to get in. Inexcusable for a hotel of this pedigree. There is also no small fridge in the rooms and the maintenance of the corridors is lacking. Overall, not worth the $300+ per night. Hope these issues can addressed soon.

Not many of these historic luxury resorts left. Be sure to see this one. It’s a beautiful building and the staff and food and golf were all “top drawer”.

We just had the most amazing dinner and service at the Golf Course Smokehouse! My husband, daughter, myself and a friend had supper here tonight and it was the best meal we have had in St. Andrews. The ribs were excellent, the sides are so yummy, the chicken wrap was so good! The service we had tonight made our experience absolutely fantastic! Our… waiter was fabulous- extremely attentive, checking in just the right amount and recommending dishes. He was very friendly and just an overall awesome server! The chef came out near the end of the meal to see how we made out, which we all thought

Great spot for Honeymoon.
We spent 2 nights. The decor is beautiful, old fashioned elegance with modern style blended effortlessly in the room. The hallways are still total regal elegance . The balcony was a nice touch. King size bed was extremely comfortable. Read the pad on the desk, it's very informative.😁. The grounds are impressive. We walked around and tried to explore the hotel.
I am really glad we went there. It's worth it for the special events in our lives.

We stayed for two nights, having arrived fairly late on the first night. The hotel is magnificent looking and is truely impressive when you arrive after a long drive. There were a couple things to do for small kids, such as the ghost tour, which was unfortunately cancelled when we were here. The concierge was a little less than helpful when we asked what else we might do, suggesting we take our kids with us to the hotel pub... Fortunately we went for ice cream and the locals in town were super friendly. The breakfast at the hotel was nice, but a little expensive. The indoor pool was great and our

Very nice resort. The old building and feel makes you think how it was back 132 years ago. Very romantic. Also if you don't finish your drink at your meal, you can take your drink out to the deck. Staff was super nice. Clean rooms as well.
