Meet the Team! The experts at Ambulatory Footwear in Dundas are here to assist you with your footwear and foot care needs! Phil Watson started working in the field of custom-made footwear in 1973. He attended the Pedorthic Program at Ballstate University in 1981 and 1982. After completing the program, Watson spent three years teaching, designing and implementing a number of shoe projects in southern Africa.
From basic designs to the most elegant patterns and leathers, custom shoes are a source of relief for those with disruptive foot conditions that are not accommodated by off-the-shelf shoes. A more economical alternative to custom-made footwear is to have existing footwear modified to function or fit better.
Foot orthoses are specially designed devices that are worn inside the shoe and, in some cases, incorporated into the structure of the boot or shoe. They accommodate and support painful areas of the foot, as well as assist in the control of abnormal foot function. Your feet are the foundation for your body and any imperfections they may have can cause other problems such as neck, back and/or knee pain.
