I was born and raised in Victoria and started The Junk Box Rubbish Removal business in 1987. I have traveled to enough places to know that Victoria offers a unique, spectacular beauty all of its own and I do not take this for granted. Victoria is where I have chosen to stay and raise my family, and I want it to remain a clean and healthy place for my kids and for our future generations to thrive.
I have been a member with ROMS (Rental Owners & Managers Society of BC), now operating under the new name of Landlord BC, since 2008. I understand the importance of a fast and thorough clean-up and turnaround time. The appeal and present-ability of a residence is a key component in re-rental.
With over 30 years in my business of garbage disposal and recycling as The Junk Box, I have worked with many building owners and managers, landlords, and strata committees.I have seen all types of living situations: hoarding, grow-ops, and units in severe, dilapidated states.

My family and I used the junk box 4 times. Dale is fantastic—very professional and always makes sure the job is done right. His son Landas and the other workers are extremely careful with high attention to detail. From the times my family and I have used them, I know the are one of the best in town (if not the very best).

I've been using the Junk Box since 2010. I've used them for my strata, my house and even for my mom. Always quick and professional service. I don't bother getting quotes anymore because Dale and family always offer fair and competitive pricing coupled with excellent service.

From the initial phone call with Dale to the waste removal itself by Landas and Rowan we had the best experience! They were super nice, great communicators, and did an excellent and thorough job. They weren't bothered by me hanging around and chatting while they worked, and they even helped by cutting down the remains of a tree I had tried to cut down myself and took a few planter boxes from our neighbour! Would highly reccomend and use again anytime! Great work guys!

Although the scheduling was efficient and they were on time, the personnel were condescending and rude. They took several items they were told not to take, which will cost money to replace. They also did not completely remove items they had been asked to remove and left a mess behind. I have used other removal companies before and was far more satisfied. This teaches me for trying out new companies.

Phenomenal experience with these guys! We thought we had discovered a huge bees nest in my gargantuan pile of yard waste when they arrived (turned out to be just a few wayward bees and not a nest). They were very patient and thorough in their assessment, and it turned out they were able to clear the pile without an issue. Would recommend 10/10.

Junk Box were recommended as the best junk removal company in town. After today I will recommend them also. Fantastic service from start to finish. They (David and Roan) arrived on time and they worked fast. The price was extremely reasonable. Roan moved a very heavy roll of fencing for me at no extra charge. Couldn't have asked for a better junk removal experience. Hire these guys!
