At Ellwood Park Animal Hospital, we know that a healthy pet is a happy pet. Our experienced veterinarians and staff will ensure your member of the family gets the best care possible in our modern hospital. A 1987 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Dr. Ray has spent his entire career in small animal medicine and has a great deal of interest in caring for brachycephalic breeds such as English and French Bulldogs.
Our wellness exams involve an extensive head-to-tail examination covering any and all health and behavioural issues affecting your pet. We offer a vaccine protocol that includes core vaccines as well as a specialized program for the individual and/or aging pet. Our surgery services range from ovariohysterectomies (spay) and orchidectomies (neuter) to more complex orthopedic surgery.

We followed Dr Mueller after she left our previous office, and as always she did the absolute best. This was our first time here, and the staff were very nice and welcoming! Even though it’s a bit far from where we live, it’s definitely worth it as good rat vets are hard to find.

Ellwood Park has been my Vet of choice for the lifetime of 3 dogs and now the fourth. I appreciate the care that the doctors and staff have extended over the years. They are knowledgeable and will take the time to explore all the options with you. I love that they take the time to get to know your dog. My dogs have always loved going and are very excited to get to the vets. There are many times that I thought their service went above and beyond.

I just adopted a dog and took her to Ellwood for a first visit. Due to COVID pet parents wait outside during the exam and then the vet will call and go over the results over the phone. Dr Snopek was incredible! He stayed on the phone nearly 20 minutes answering all my questions and going over the exam thoroughly. The next day, unluckily, my new pup got into an altercation with my cat and needed to be seen as an emergency. I called a few vets/hospitals closer to me and nobody would see her. Not only did Dr. Kelly at Ellwood stay LATE to see her, they waited while I fought through rush hour traffic

The mindfulness and expertise my pets receive at Ellwood is bar none. I switched to them years ago with my late pup, and the knowledge, care and compassion we received with her regular visits throughout her too-short life was unexpectedly remarkable! All of the vets were extremely honest, informative, reasonable and clear about our options, and the… empathy expressed shows true character and compassion for what they do. On November 23 we took our dog in to have his blood pressure check after going on meds. Original vet bill was over $250 mark which was fine, but then to have to pay $83.22 to have my dogs blood pressure taken was crazy. He was in the clinic less than 5 minutes. I even questioned the assistant several times about this and was assured that it would be a minimal charge. I emailed a few days later to express my feelings and have never heard back from them. I am incredibly disappointed that there has been no follow up or email back. I will now be switching to another vet clinic.

We have been going there since 1992, and some things never change. We have always found the same professional, compassionate, helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile. Extending their services above and beyond the care of the animals while offering comfort and reassurance when needed. They fit me in in the same day and were so kind and understanding with my dog and with me (I had to bring my 15 month old with me by myself). My dog has always been super afraid of the vet and he often pees himself but he seems the most comfortable here. I can feel the great energy and kindness as soon as we walk in here and can tell everyone working there truly loves animals. This is the only place I’ll take my animals going forward!
