Services
At Citizen Dental Hygiene, we always maintain the highest standard of sterilization and are fully stocked with the required personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff. We follow all of the guidelines set out by the Alberta Dental College, the College of Registered Dental Hygienists and Alberta Health Services.
A Regular Cleaning is a full-service cleaning that includes scaling, polishing, fluoride treatment and a complimentary laser whitening valued at $125. Depending on individual needs, this may also include X-Rays and a visit with the dentist. Most people with benefits are covered for all these services, except for the whitening which is our GIFT TO YOU, because we want you leaving feeling your best!

I LOVE this dental office. I used to absolutely dread going to the dentist, but now I actually look forward to it. The office is decorated nicely (I love the apothecary wall they added recently!!!) and the staff are super kind and welcoming. Their pricing is fair and I never feel ripped off leaving. The free teeth whitening with cleanings is the cherry on top 🍒

I have been going to Citizen for about two years now and have never had anything but an extremely positive experience. I have had multiple dental hygienists and dentists and they have all been nothing but friendly, professional, and most importantly non-judgmental. For the first time in my life I am actually going every 6 months because I know I will not be shamed if I haven’t followed every single recommendation (life happens). Explanations were very thorough about any issues that popped up and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. No one is judgy or tries to re-teach you how to floss when you have a cavity 🙄. The cleaning was good, with little to no unnecessary stabs in the gums. They also gave me treatment options for tmj issues I've had forever that other dentists have just shrugged at and glossed over. Overall, I really liked them. I came for the free whitening but I'll keep coming back because of the service and care.👍

Listen, I used to dread the dentist. Looooathe. This office has completely changed my perspective. It's cute as heck in there, woman owned and run (who doesn't love a business run by boss babes). The hygienists, assistants and dentists are all so kind, informative and gentle. And free whitening with the cleanings?? Such a treat!

The moment I stepped into your office I felt welcomed. I knew I needed major work done on my teeth.... It had been at least 6 years since my last dental appointment and because of major depression issues I hadn't been taking care of my teeth. I’m never a big fan of going in for a cleaning at the dentist. I have to say, going to Citizen was a great experience. Both of the girls at check-in were very friendly and the office is newly renovated to feel more like a spa!
Elizabet was my hygienist and she made the appointment fly by. No lectures that I need to floss more! Likely the best hygienist experience I remember.
Dr. Yu was very friendly who did my exam. No extra work needed, but she gave me a few areas to watch and give extra attention to. Again no guilt trip!

Scam Alert! $125 Teeth Whitening that they give ‘for free’ was a whitening pen. Tried to force me into buying a bone-density analysis for my gums 🙄 Not happy at all. Definitely would not recommend. I booked an appointment over a month in advance for July 10, 2021. I then Received 3 emails from company yesterday all within an hr of each other the day before my appointment while at work (1st email please complete forms // 2nd email confirming appointment // 3rd email CitizenDental cancelling my appointment for no reason and that a cancellation fee would be charged). Thankfully I didn’t give my creditcard#

Who ever thought you could enjoy a trip to a dental hygienist? Citizen Dental was a great experience from front desk, cool reception area, incredibly enlightening explanation of everything, and relaxed atmosphere for the actual work. Lace was fantastic, made me feel at ease and went through what was being done at all times, billing was direct with my insurance provider too. I thought this place was pretty awesome after I was recommended by a friend. They are affordable and accommodate well to people that use blue cross. However I think something has changed regarding the owners or management because my experience recently was really not cool. Getting turned away for being a bit late when the roads are sheer ice, and they have almost no parking available in the area as well is pretty lame. The clinic seemed pretty quiet as well... Awkward! My boyfriend and I came in from red deer and was it worth the drive! My boyfriend had the pleasure of having the owner work on him and she was such a delight. As well as Mary-Kim, the staff is so knowledgeable and caring of their patients. I would recommend anyone to them! Will definitely be coming back, so happy with the service and team at citizen! We LOVE everything about this business. From the moment you step in, you'll be treated with respect, honesty, and care. The staff is AMAZING and very caring towards their clients. This is one of the few businesses I would recommend 100%. My daughters and I have been coming to Citizen Dental Hygiene for a few years now and has always been a great… experience for all of us. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who wants to leave the dentist feeling really good about their visit and their teeth. Lace is so passionate and educated and it really shows in what she does and how she communicates with you. She gives you lots of education and tips to help maintain prevention. She's awesome with kids too, she didn't force my son to do anything he wasn't comfortable with and gave me the knowledge for some home care for him. This isn't like any dental clinic I've ever been too. Awesome if you don't have benefits or you do! The Karma cleaning
