Affiliations with Brampton Flight School, Markham Canadian Flyers, Island Air Flight School. My goal, while practising aviation and marine medicine, is to provide the highest standard of care, while making a difference in both the pilots and seafarers that I have the privilege of meeting. I will strive to make your visit as stress-free as possible.
My prime interest is to either put you in the air or keep you in the air (or on the sea) - safely. I will do everything possible to perform your aviation or marine medicals at your convenience, since I understand the difficult schedules of both pilots and mariners.

Services
The office is located inside the Thornhill Shopping Centre on the East side of Bayview Ave. You can enter the parking lot from either Green Lane or John St. We suggest you enter the building at the mall entrance near Food Basics. The parking is free. When you enter the building, either take the elevator or stairs to the 3rd floor, Suite 307.
At each medical, a new Civil Aviation Medical Examination Report needs to be completed. You will be required to add your demographics and flight hours. Questions must be answered regarding family history, medical history, including substance abuse, over the counter drugs, prescription drugs, and alcohol intake.
A Marine Medical Examination may only be carried out by a certified Canadian Marine Medical Examiner. If assessed as fit, a Provisional Marine Medical Certificate (valid for 6 months) will be given to you immediately. The permanent certificate will be mailed to you from Ottawa. The validity period will be for 2 years, commencing on the date that the initial medical examination was performed.
If it is your first aviation or marine medical examination, please bring one piece of photo ID. If you are a licensed pilot, please bring your licence for Dr. Magee to stamp your renewal. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, please bring a current prescription from your eye doctor. If you are wearing contact lenses, you must be able to remove them during the physical.
Gary Magee has been my Aviation Medical Examiner for over 10 years and I have always been impressed by his professionalism and that of his staff. He is very friendly and has a great "Bedside Manner", making the Medical Examination a very comfortable experience. He is astute in giving advice and suggestions for health improvement when required without a hint of a threatening tone.
