As a co-founding principal and director of design, Sylvain is the creative force that guides Boldwing Continuum. His design thinking, eye for aesthetics and 35 years of architectural experience shape our unique vision. At the firm, Sylvain has the last word on design decisions, from selecting materials to integrating consultants into the process.
He also takes the lead role in presenting projects and cultivating client relationships, continuously applying their feedback to our designs. Cities are changing - growing, modernizing, densifying - so our approach to designing them must change as well. Boldwing Continuum Architects responds to the new challenges our cities face by designing buildings as integral parts of the urban ecosystem. Having realized projects in sectors as diverse as transportation, healthcare, housing and retail, we know how architecture connects people to their cities.
We focus on how and why people interact with their urban environment. Our initial ideas are based on these observations and then undergo an iterative filtering process that leaves the best ones to be designed into concepts and tested with a client.

Boldwing Continuum was commissioned by the City of Surrey to provide architectural, interior design and building envelope services for the renovation of their existing Fire Hall #6. The Fire Services Department was mandated to extend the lifespan of this municipal facility by another 15 years, with the primary objective to improve personnel liveability and response time within the facility.
We provide innovative, iterative and individualized architectural solutions to elevate the experience of everyday architecture. I visited this office to introduce myself as I work for a local business down the street. I walked into the office and greeted the lady working the front desk. Before I was even finished my sentence, she cut me off and said "THERE'S NO SOLICITING HERE". I apologized as I was completely unaware (I was there with the intent of JUST introducing myself). I replied "no problem" and reached for the stack of cards displayed on the counter as I did not want to interrupt anyone. I grabbed one of the cards from the counter, the lady says "PUT THAT BACK".
