RDC is an industry leader in building high-performance homes that focus on homeowner comfort, indoor air quality, durability as well as being energy efficient. Each home undergoes energy modeling at the design stage; this allows us to optimize and value engineer the design, determine what the energy use might be and design an efficient right-sized heating and (if required) cooling system.
At RDC Fine Homes, we begin with a team approach. We work using the principles of an Integrated Project Delivery model, (IPD) engaging all the key team members from the very beginning. Only with everyone's input can we optimize the best design based on your budget and design expectations. The key is to use the wisdom of the team to design your home correctly from the start.
A Net Zero Energy (NZE) building, is a building with zero net energy consumption, meaning the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. These buildings consequently do not increase the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
RDC Fine Homes has been committed to building "Green" since the late 90's and has always been exploring the process of livability, durability and energy efficiency. RDC Adopted the Built Green Label in 2006. As the homeowner of a BUILT GREEN home, you will enjoy a healthier, more durable home with a lower environmental impact, as well as the ability to choose which green features you want.
RDC is committed to delivering a uniquely positive experience for our clients in the construction or renovation of their new high-performance home. To ensure we are always getting feedback from our clients we use a third-party survey program through AVID Ratings. After meeting you over a year ago, we couldn't be happier with the creation of the ski room in our beautiful house.

We're working with RDC on several projects in Whistler and have nothing but good things to say. Their team is excellent at communication and is always on the lookout for new and inventive solutions.
