Services
Jenna Rae Cakes is a boutique bakery that opened in 2014 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canda. After watching an episode of Cake Boss in 2010, Jenna thought 'I can do that!' and began spending any free time she had pursuing cake design. Once Jenna started posting her cakes on Facebook, orders started rolling in and she knew she was onto something special.
Our flagship location at 580E Academy Road is a quaint shop bursting with colourful treats that look and smell as delicious as they taste, friendly faces of our helpful team eager to serve you and our signature line of gift items to add that extra special touch to your upcoming celebrations. Pick up some treats and stay awhile as you admire some of Jenna's stunning cakes on display and see where it all started.
The Forks Market is an iconic Winnipeg tourist destination. Open year-round, this historical landmark delights visitors with its exceptional culinary offerings, unique shopping, diverse attractions and memorable events. Visit us on the second floor above The Common for your fix of sweet treats then take in the hustle and bustle of shops and events The Forks has to offer.
We are currently not taking on any custom cakes for the time being, and are just offering cakes and customizations available in our online shop. We charge a delivery fee of $50/hr for wedding/tiered cakes or large bakery orders. This includes set-up and travel time, and requires a contract. We do not offer delivery for small orders at this time, but can recommend multiple courier services in Winnipeg.
In Jenna Rae Cakes and Sweet Treats, Jenna and Ashley reveal the tried and true recipes, flavours, and show-stopping designs that put them on the map. Inside you will find recipes for over 100 of the most vibrant and decadent cookie sandwiches, cupcakes, party squares, cakes, macarons, cream puffs, and more.

I have loved every treat I've gotten from JRC. They are always coming out with new and unique flavours that you can't find anywhere else! The best macarons in the city by far!

Overpriced desserts, which I don't mind paying a lot for but common Jenna... at least make them taste as delicious as they look. Visually, everything looks amazing, and you look at the prices thinking I bet they taste amazing, just like how they look. So you buy a few overpriced foods from there and try them... and you think wow, I should have went to Sobeys... it's your choice. Like I said, visually, they look absolutely amazing. But taste wise, nah.

We noticed a stall filled with colourful macarons and decided to give it a try and got 6 macarons for $15.
The macarons were very colourful and were visually appealing, it was nicely decorated and the macaron had the perfect chewy texture of a macaron, the flavour wasn't as strong as I would've liked though.

Overall, the macarons were ok. It looked better than it tasted but was still good. They're nice as gifts since they look so beautiful but I probably wouldn't get them for myself again.

They look better on Instagram. I have been seeing their posts on Instagram for a while and finally thought it was time to try them for myself. The icing inside of the macaroon was wayyyyyyy too sweet and the outside of the cake portion was hard and dry. I would not recommend this place based off the product I have tried.

I've been following this bakery on Instagram for a while and finally had the chance to try it in person at The Forks. They're pretty famous for the macarons and pretty photos on Instagram. I tried a few different macarons (cotton candy, birthday cake and another purple one) and wasn't a huge fan. They were really sugary/artificial-tasting. I also tried the cookie sandwich which I absolutely loved!! It was pretty heavy since it's 2 cookies so I split it with a friend. The prices were a bit higher than I expected - $3.75 for the cookie and around $3 per macaron.

It's a tiny show and kind awkward if you want to browse without purchasing anything. The baked goods look good but they taste dry. I prefer macaroons from high tea bakery. And the customer service is a lot better too.

This is one of the cutest bakeries in Winnipeg! The pastries and the cakes are perfect for Instagram picture opportunities. Everything was super cute. I would go here on a date or a girl's day for sure. I thought everything was going to be too sweet, but it was not uber sweet! I got the salted caramel cookie sandwich, the earl grey macaron (I loved the gold accents), and the cotton candy cream puff.

Came here once with my daughter (she's 5), grabbed a few macarons and she picked a mini cheesecake (I don't remember the flavours). Well my daughter loves sweets, and she couldn't eat any of it. She said it all tasted so overly sweet and fake. The icing on the cheesecake was some sort of sugar glaze which ruined the cheesecake. The crust was terrible. (I tasted it since she refused to take another bite)
The macarons were not too bad, I've had worse, and I've had much better. Overall too sweet and hard.
They focus too much on the look, and not enough on the actual baking

Bought 6 cupcakes for a friends birthday...for nearly $20...which I nearly choked over...and when we went to eat the ferrero rocher chocolate ones...was shocked that they cut the chocolates in half! At that price per cupcake we should get a whole freaking chocolate! NEVER AGAIN! What a complete rip off!

I had come into the store to get a macaroon cake for my sister. And the guy at the counter was giving me attitude..and advise me that i needed to come in a month in advance to order this $85 macaroon cake. SUCH A RIP OFF ANWAYS! He wasn't helpful or nice to me. Ive had their macaroons and there are okay. I am from Toronto and there are better options there. Wasn't happy with the customer service and wouldn't go back. Don't waste your time or money. Owners are racist anyways.

The cupcakes were really delicious. As a last minute thing for my boyfriend's birthday I got a dozen cupcakes, red velvet and salted caramel. Everyone agreed they were really moist and flavourful. After that experience we went back for some macarons and I was disappointed. The pistachio one was really nice, and the texture for all of them was right but the flavours were very artificial tasting. The flavours were overwhelming. Macarons are super delicate and light, and they tasted like a bottle of food dye. The chocolate covered oreo was really hard to bite into but overall tasted okay. I&apos

Delicious fresh macarons!! Tried the cookie dough macaron, peanut butter and salted caramel. Cookie dough is the best, even their cookie dough cupcake was a dreaaam! They also have cookie sandwiches and the brownie sandwich was stuffed with oreo cream,it's a bit too heavy for my taste but delicious.
