All of Our Custom Built Teardrop Trailers are build to order and manufactured here in Canada, Built to be completely off the grid. Although Some parts are purchased in the United States, We manufacture the entire teardrop here in Cedar Valley Ontario, Canada. Teardrop trailers have been widely popular in the United States since the 1930's.

Originally known as "The honeymoon house trailer". With a Teardrop Trailer you have a comfortable bed and don't have to sleep on the ground. Our Teardrop Trailers have virtually little or no setup unlike tents, or pop-up's. This makes for a perfect travel trailer. You don't even have to unhook your Teardrop from the car, so you are ready to go to your next destination, first thing in the morning with a portable kitchen and bedroom on wheels.

The 8'x4' floor plan was on tongue-and-groove flooring on a pine chassis. Rogers used a Chevrolet front axle with 28 wheels and 1926 Chevrolet rear fenders. Sides and top were enclosed with 1/8 hard pressed board sealed with varnish. This teardrop slept two and had the raise-up deck lid for the rear kitchenette with ice box and stove.
Thanks again we love it and are already getting it set up to use in 2 weeks at a camping site. I have an Interview with Wolf Hinners about his new Teardrop Trailer "Diamond in the Rough". After one week of camping, He comes back to our shop to say hi and give us his thoughts on his new camper. I received my beautiful Birch Tin Top Woody in May, after Steve and his wife drove ACROSS COUNTRY to Calgary to bring it to me!
The following information is for reference purposes only. Always follow your vehicle's handbook or check with your dealership before towing anything behind your vehicle. Consider the picture shown below. The receiver tube on your vehicle's hitch (A) may be higher than the trailer coupler (B) when the trailer is sitting level on level ground.

Questionable build quality.
Edit - finally had a chance the last few months to use the fixed up trailer. The one saving grace is the overall thick and rigid frame. Was well balanced and nice to tow even with my low power car.

Great trailer all around (Diamond in the Rough) we have had it two yrs. But after giving Steve an extra month before pick up as he was swamped with orders, we were not completely satisfied with galley layout. One of his workers stepped up and rectified the layout. It was missed communication to blame fo the layout problem. Then my wife and Steve got into bit of an argument over whether his employee had worked his lunch time (I tipped the employee) and he was having his lunch after the galley retrofit was completed. Steve explored verbally and pretty well kicked us off his lot swearing and yelling

I contacted Steve to arrange a purchase. I told Steve what I wanted and he invoiced it because i said i would like to go ahead with being invoiced but obviously nothing was in stone. Great! No big deal, I'm good with that. The next morning, i did some searching for reviews or anything at all that would tell me whether The Teardrop Trailer Company was a legitimate business to work with but couldn't find much of anything other than a couple of negative reviews. I contacted Steve and told him I'd just like to see what people thought of his trailers and asked if he could put me in contact

BUYER BEWARE - there is no warranty with this trailer, but the owner will give you many guarantees at the outset. our 5x8' trailer's fenders rusted out within 4 months of non-use (trailer came in winter and we stored it until spring, we haven't used it at ALL) and the aluminum panels were pockmarked by spring. When we asked the owner Steve about remedies or a refund for the cost of materials and labour to fix the fenders and aluminum, we received a rude and unhelpful email that indicated he never wanted to hear from us again. the original ordering process was convoluted and confusing, the trailer

A picture says a thousand words, who can argue more.
A trailer with a fridge and stove, and yes a galley door.

I was disappointed from the beginning but as time goes on it gets worse. Well they did partially reimburse me ($500) for the damage done in shipping, in the end, the headaches due to lack of quality control are just not worth any savings I may have thought I gained.
The list of problems from the building envelope, lack of construction and wiring knowledge, and, the solar set-up are too many to list.
Post sales service is non existent. I recommend buyers look around and see what they can find close to home. You likely won't be happy if the first time you see your teardrop is after you

Response time is non-existent. I've sent two quote requests a week apart via their website (which shows a 'quick response' icon) and haven't heard back from anyone yet; it's been at least two weeks since I sent the second request I am looking at purchasing one of these next spring, but have decided to go with another company with a very similar trailer who responded to my enquiries within hours.
