Services
As a local leader and champion for mental health, we support the resilience and recovery/well-being of people living with mental illness through our social programs, our support services, and through the provision of information, resources, referrals and advocacy in a space that is inclusive, safe, and respectful.
The Among Friends Social Club and the Sharing & Caring Social Club respond to a common need for adults experiencing mental illness and mental health problems through access to programs that offer vital social support programming and activities aimed at community inclusion, creativity, recreation and leisure.
CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth Branch would not be able to provide the services that it does to our local community without the incredible support of volunteers who kindly donate their time and talents to our Social Programs, Mosaic for Mental Health, along with other areas. As our Programs are currently taking place off-site we are currently not taking on new volunteers.

There are no mental health services per se. And there are no people working or volunteering there who have the credentials to deal with mental health. The staff seem condescending. There's little to do. And there are (from what I could tell) NO people with mental health issues working there. IOW, they don't even set a good example.
