Tam Heather, or the "Tam" as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble.
Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built. Tam Heather is run by a Board of Directors elected by the Members of both the Curling and Tennis divisions. The club offers excellent instructional, recreational and competitive programs for residents in the surrounding community and Greater Metro Toronto Area.

At Tam Heather, we have both daytime and evening leagues for men and women of all ages and abilities. The Skip's Entry competitive league curls weekly, rotating between Mondays at 9:00pm and Thursdays at 5:00pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm. The teams are set at the start of the year and play 3 draws of 7 games each.
Tam Heather has a state-of-the-art year round indoor tennis facility. It is located just south of the 401 at Morningside Road and Military Trail in Scarborough. It features four hard courts in a newly constructed climate controlled bubble, equipped with shadow-less non-glare lighting. The well maintained courts are spacious with bleachers for viewing.
Check court availability, reserve court time and confirm your court selections in case you forget what court, date and/or time you reserved. GameTime is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Cancellations must be made 24 hours before time of play, otherwise all members involved in the booking will be billed.

The club is very organized and clean. The ice is well kept and the equipment is in excellent condition. The food is exceptional and the service at the bar and polite treatment in the office are wonderful. The only complaint I have is that three years ago I was curling on a sheet and the staff were wetting the ice in the next sheet. It happens often. I slipped on the water and broke three ribs. I have been in discomfort since then. I've asked them not to wet the ice in an adjacent sheet to where we are playing but it hasn't changed. I am afraid it will happen to someone else.

Been taking tennis lessons from Tam Heather for little over a year now. Very satisfied with the results and will continue til I become a complete player. Definitely recommend my coach "Clyde Harris" if anyone is looking for a solid improvement in their game. As for the facility itself, the bubble is up all season long and consist of four hard courts. Membership is required if you intend to take lessons. However, non-members are able to rent courts as well with a higher price. Parking is free and usually sufficient. Amenities (bar, washroom, etc..) are a walk away, just across the bubble in the

Love this club! there is lots of ice, 8 sheets, the members are friendly and the bonspiels are a hoot too. I took the learn to curl course, and I have been hooked ever since. Karen at the bar is always there to ensure your thirst is quenched and Damiano in the kitchen is always cooking up something great. With several clubs closing down this one is a gem.

I've played tennis here in both winter and summer. The bubble facility is fantastic. The lighting is perfect and unlike other places, the lighting is from the ceiling pointing down instead of on the ground and reflecting upwards. The courts are good and fairly flat (few dips but nothing major). The club facilities are dated however the service is always top notch. Pricing is also very affordable for a club being in Toronto.
