Awesome place with great food and staff. Their triple chocolate cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Their gelato was exceptional (plus you can try samples if you can't decide). My only complaint is that their chocolate cake was not as good as everything else. It tasted kind of cheap, like a cake you could get at a grocery store. Other than that, it was amazing.

Came here to try out their crepes. I ordered the Canadiana- with strawberries and gelato. It had a more simple and home style taste to it. Didn't quite win me over.
Due to some delays, they offered us complimentary coffee which was really good customer service. We also ordered the fresh orange juice which was so good! I would recommend trying their coffee, orange juice and gelato.

Sooooo good. My friend and I went here for the first time and tried a small variety. Everything tasted great! I highly recommend the pistachio ice cream, it was my favourite part - so smooth and tasteful. We also had the triple chocolate cheesecake which was very dense but perfect for chocolate lovers. And finally, the tiramisu - amazingly moist and alcohol free!

The manager/owner/supervisor carries out customer service with excuses. With 5 people on the floor a crepe with one topping doesn’t generally take more than 10 minutes, also it was burnt. Ruined my appetite. A different woman than the manager gave me a refund and she was a very nice person, very professional.

We came to this cafe and they didnt notify us that the cafe will be closing in less than 5 minutes??!! They told us to read the door before entering, in a very rude tone. They came and told us to leave the patio as they were closing that second so we didnt even have a chance to finish our food, and to add, the cakes were awful and didnt taste fresh. Bad experience. I do not recommend, AT ALL.

This is my go to waffle and gelato place in North York. Conveniently located in shops at Don Mills this place makes delicious customizable waffles. You can add as many or as little toppings as you like. They also have pre set waffles. They are doing their best with covid and are using disposable plates, following the city guidelines.

Given the circumstances with COVID19, I understood that safety precautions are the number one priority for not only the employees but the patrons. However, today I entered the store with my family of 4, not knowing that there were already people inside (signs + the sun glare blocking our vision) and stood in line. A patron in front of me told me that we have to go to the cashier first. Waffles are my weakness, whether they be sweet or savoury. At Ice 'n Cake, there are plenty of choices for both and you can even customize your own. Besides waffles and crepes, they also have other desserts such as cakes, macarons, and of course, gelato. It's located right in the middle of the Shops at Don Mills and they are usually pretty busy.

I don't get why Ice 'n Cake don't have higher ratings. There were a lot of people lining up in front of us but the staff operated efficiently so we were able to get our gelato fairly quickly. I didn't encounter any rudeness while I was there - the attitude that I got from the staff was very transactional - not super friendly but definitely not rude. They did their job well. Gelato was great, and they had outdoor seating! I got the salted caramel and it was delicious!

The crowds here get unruly at times, with the line snaking all the way out of the building and onto the sidewalk during the summer. It doesn't help that you line up to pay, and then you have have to line up again for the gelato counter. So expect there to be a wait between your need for gelato and actually getting something sweet in hand.
I opted out of the gelato line and got a large square of Nonna's Tiramisu instead. It was delicious but light enough that I could easily devour the generous portion with little issue. Will definitely brave the wait next time for it, but will continue

They have a decent selection of both Gelato and Sorbetto flavours.
The taste was... not stellar. Not bad ..
it was allright.
They also had pastries, which looked good, though I didn't try any on my first visit.
Not that friendly staff because they were busy.
But I love their atmosphere, decor and location.
It is good place to enjoy your desert with your family and friends when you in that area!

It's a nice place to hang out with family or friends any day until midnight. So a 3 star, but the drinks offered are just so poor. We had tea and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate as they named it "real hot chocolate" was like luke warm milk with a hint of cocoa, was terrible.
Tea was fine.
The dessert portions are exceptionally large, but taste is just average.

Was busy on tonight's visit will all the seating taken and a little too chilly to sit outside
The staff are ok, some are lovely others are a little less cheery but overall they balance each other out
Got to try some of the ice cream before I bought which was useful as several of the tastes proved not to be for me
