SBM specializes in multi-level residential buildings working with developers and architects across the province. Depending on the owner/architects design requirements SBM incorporates a wide variety of building materials to keep costs in control while maintaining the overall vision and performance for the building.
SBM specializes in the structural design of Mid-rise residential buildings ranging from one to six levels. D ver 1.3. In conjunction with the structural design, the program optimizes the selection of all shear wall panels based on material and labor costs.
The program selects the least expensive wall type and analyzes the wall under all design considerations, if the wall fails, the next least expensive wall is selected and the process begins again.This iterative process allows for the most cost effective structure while achieving optimal structural performance.

Strik Baldinelli Moniz (SBM) provides a wide spectrum of services for residential home builders, renovators and designers. Our services range anywhere from the design of single elements ie. Strik Baldinelli Moniz was awarded London Home Builders Association "Supplier of the Year" three times and has also been awarded "Most Outstanding Supplier" by the Waterloo Region Home Builders Association.
SBM has completed design on a wide variety of retail and industrial type buildings across the province. Working mainly with DB contractors and Developers, we've achieved an excellent balance between cost and practicality. We have highlighted a few recent projects that reflect our work and vision. We are proud to be providing Civil and Structural design services for our new neighbor in Arva.
SBM has been fortunate to participate in the structural design of several institutional buildings across the province. Working with Architects, City Officials or Government agencies these types of buildings require a group design approach with special attention in regards to program planning, design coordination and construction management.

We had SBM work on a very small project for us - reviewing our deck to ensure it could hold a hot tub. Even though our project was very small, SBM provided great service, squeezing us in to meet our schedule. The letter they produced was informative, accurate and well written. Aaron Stik provided great service and assistance with city permit guidance. Very responsive and helpful where the city was not clear in direction. I would highly recommend their service when in need of engineer reports to provide to the city inspectors.
