Dr. Gary Senderovich attended the University of Toronto for his undergraduate studies. He went on to graduate from Nova Southeastern University Faculty of Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After living and working in the GTA for several years, he is happy to settle down in the beautiful towns of Port Hope and Cobourg.

Achieving a healthy and beautiful smile starts with a comprehensive dental exam.
This involves going over your medical and dental history, an oral cancer screening, assessing the TMJ(Jaw Joint), examining your gums and underlying bone, evaluating your occlusion(checking your bite for the presence of bite problems), examining your teeth and any existing fillings or restorations, diagnostic x-rays to visualize surfaces that can't be seen by the naked eye.

Regular brushing and flossing are an excellent way to maintain the health of your gums and teeth in between office visits, but a healthy mouth also requires routine general and preventative care to keep the teeth and gums strong and disease-free. The purpose of a professional dental cleaning is to remove plaque(a thin growing biofilm of bacteria) from the teeth and below the gumline, as well as remove any tartar build-up.
A dental sealant is a thin composite coating(similar to the material used for fillings) that is placed on the chewing surfaces of back teeth. The molars and premolars(back teeth) have grooves that are susceptible to dental decay. This is especially the case with the initial eruption of teeth into the mouth.
